I don't think it's fair to lump 1vs100 and Golden Balls in with MHP here.

1vs100 is only really rigged for the top boys who can bash through a string of spoilers to reach the endgame - in which case it can and will protect itself with a sub-£1 prize (I've seen 50p and 75p a couple of times when I've got lucky with some inspired guesswork or spoilers that I happen to know). But for most players, the endgame seems reasonably fair provided you accept the realistic prizes are £2, £3, £4 and £5 (i.e. £10 is a rarity and £20 a great rarity).

Golden Balls obviously has a very obviously rigged "give you £40 worth of balls and then reduce that to £4" endgame, but once the player sees past that, I actually think that again it's a relatively fair endgame, offering reasonable prizes in the range £2 through to £8 with probably £3 being the most likely prize level declining from there (I've had £8 twice and £9 once and haven't had a £10 yet from it). I've not yet experienced a sub-£2 prize on it - I'd presume that £1 is the only possible such prize given that the game only pays out whole numbers of pounds, and I've not seen that. Presumably the game isn't vulnerable to that because it can make life a lot tougher than, say, 1vs100 if it wants (three wrong options rather than two and - to my mind - harder and more spoilers). I've fluked my way to a Golden Balls endgame a few times but have always got £2 I think.

MHP by contrast is a disgustingly rigged endgame, although is at least fairly transparent on the few occasions it's willing to pay a decent prize (I was interested to read the recent account of a £20JP on it, which perhaps justifies to some extent my questionable habit of investing the occasional 50p in this).

Well I finally managed the £20 jackpot and got that litle end sequence of the box opening up with 'jackpot' inside of it.
The target was 2x,xxx
I can appreciate it is a well designed game, not only does it have a strong branding, but it also feels like you have a sporting chance.
As it offers the chance of £20, it doesn't reflex as obviously as other games. For example, lose £9 in millionaire when 16,000 = £1 and 8,000 will be £1 so on, so forth, obvious tells, blah blah

I'm not good enough to kill it so that it starts 80,000+

I did try a few games after the £20 win and it was all circa 50,000 starts.

It also has good SFx with plenty of Noelisms in there to make one smile or punch the screen, depending on how you react to tidy beards.
Most bandit boys love Noelisms. We only have to hear 'I want you to get a lot of money' and we get a warm fuzzy feeling inside.

Addictive game as well.

I always exit the the machine with one win unless the win is pitiful. Ive attempted to modify my plodding approach with a blitzkrieg approach to machines. There is little point in squeezing every last drop of juice out of one game when there are many others to play. Once the spoilers set in Ive found that if you reach the end game the wins tend to be lower. However, if you can beat the spoilers continuously , respect.

Top boys capable at anything sub 70,000 now. Which is why it sits shit so often.

Endgame not bent.

This is very true. Not a "top boy" but have seen this gradual increase in the target over time. However I understand that a lot of the 20,000's it comes up with are simply random. Perhaps to get more people to play? The randomness (?) of it is determined by how quickly it reverts to the stupid questions. If it ain't ready to pay you are relying on luck to know "which of these was born the earliest...etc. etc. ad tedium"
