Vajjy Bobbing it in Norwich

Post by Ernest W. Quality »

The Word Up scoreboards of Norwich have today been utterly owned by none other than Vaginal Bob. In an attempt to dominate this area of the country (Cambridge, Chelmsford, Harwich, Ipswich, Colchester already covered), we took on the canaries, and got not a cheep out of them.

Summary (all scores topped the relevant machine):

11.45am The Quarter Deck: 1642
12.07pm Compleat Angler: 1561
12.30pm Prince of Wales: 1645
12.57pm The Woolpack Inn: 1628
1.22pm The Horse and Dray: 1656
2.05pm Imagine: 1662
[Lunch]
3.29pm The Wild Man: 1676
4.11pm Yates's: 1577
4.51pm Brannigan's [screen was totally knackered]
5.01pm Squares: 1558
5.32pm Old Orleans: 1519
5.58pm Norwegian Blue: 1645
6.25pm Amusement Arcade next to cinema: 1579
6.50pm Wetherspoon's: 1591

That's a long ol' lunch break, boys!
This machine may at times offer a choice where the player has every chance of bankruptcy

Good excuse. Also less money available on the old prize structure. I think we may also have just been filthing clears without aiming for good words or anything.

I think a better explanation is that we were worse at the game back then.

Ernest insists on a proper sit-down three course meal with attendant chit-chat. Anything less and he sulks for the rest of the day.

VB lunches consist of him wandering into half a dozen shops/bakers/fast-food, going "hmm... " looking at the choices for five minutes, rejecting all of them, before eventually plumping for a Wetherspoon's burger (again).

....which are fucking terrible if we're being honest. They are awful now, bland as a piece of cardboard.

Not surprised you topped all those boards in Norwich, full of fruity players, but nothing on the quiz side really. Should be easy money, and you only scratched the surface there with those locations.
