Stag do location....?

Post by 999329753 »

Live in Ipswich so reasonable close to stansted and have decided on either Edinburgh or Glasgow for my stag do in Nov 08.

Can anyone suggest which one would be preferable? Into drinking, dance music and I guess a lap dance club or 2 needs to be on the agenda!!

thanks in advance for your recommendations.

Edinburgh is a nicer city that's for sure. Glasgow is more buzzing and has a bigger nightlife, but is also rougher and generally full of more muppets who'd kick your head in. Edinburgh i reckon, local pubs galore.

Out of the 2 it would be Edinburgh for me.
The Royal Mile is an old fave...
Loads of pubs
Start at one end and have a pint in each and letus know how far up you get !

Having said all this if you are near an airport why not go abroad ?

I'm a glasgow boy living in Edinburgh.

From a "bouncers are dickheads and might not let you in" point of view I'd choose Edinburgh over Glasgow anytime. Lots of stag do's in Edinburgh so pubs and clubs are much more tolerant when it comes to letting them in.

Last trip to Glasgow was a bit weird. Went to a Wetherspoons for breakfast and there was loads of posties sitting there having a pint with a whisky chaser before starting on their deliveries. This was about 9.00 a.m.

ps It was before the start of their rounds because the full bags were all piled up in the corner.

I went out two nights ago with the boys and ended up blootered.

Crawled into bed beside the mrs shouting "they wouldnt let us into the Western!!" over and over. She found it funny.

She wont if she ever finds out what lies within the Western.
