I'm not going to go on, but this
should be in the lounge, so I'll shift it for ya.
Anyway, a mixture of both for me!
Does anyone remember 'HOBO's'? Very similar, as in they were a small rectangular chewy sweet, but you got different flavours. Apple was my personal fave.

Postman pat chews!!!
Kinda blue and pink but really fruity...top drawer!!
(or refresher chews but they were 3p rather that 1 so I think that disqualifies them!)

I think they are called bruisers eddie, apple/blackcurrant flavour? Maybe they are something else.
Love fruit salads and blackjacks though, both awesome....except when the paper sticks to them!

they definately used to be called applejacks, used to go shop on my school dinner break to stock up, early 90's time.
possibly had a name change since then
marathon is now snickers
opal fruits are now starburst etc.
i'm sure someone will remember applejacks.

the applejacks i remember were sour boiled sweets . i remember fruit salad at a mere half penny each and they were much bigger then aswell.
salad v blackjacks = salad ,although both tended to stick in your teeth alot

luxury, when i wor a lad,i'd get six pence a day sweet money ,enough for 2 ounces of "everybodies mixture" which contained about a dozen low grade boilies, mainly pineapple cubes ,cola cubes ,the occasional apple jack(boiled)and these things that looked like a monkeynut shell, also if you had a bit of bad karma going on you got a couple of winter mixture( :x ) in the bag.
