i have just brought a machine which is a viva espana and when i switch on from it drops money, are they suppose to do that and if not does any one know how to stop it.

What machine is this?

Is it solenoid payouts or a hopper?

This is usually an indicator of board damage, or otherwise damaged triacs - on the old solenoid payouts anyway.
