1 v 100
Good work; pleased to be of assistance. It was actually Nil Satis who gave the tip and I only confirmed it, but clearly it's always worth playing 1v100 until it starts coming up with kipper questions.David Healy wrote:
Thanks for the tip. First game tonight - £4. Would normally have moved on to something else, but as a sole result of the posting above I played another game. Successfully negotiated the 100 a second time, down to £2 and £10 in the end game and won ............. £10!!!!!
It's an exemplar of a quality game isn't it? My wife likes SWPs but not in an obsessive way, and 1v100 is her first port of call on an ItBox, still. I think they've got the game just about right really: clear and easy format, good chance of £2-£5 even for Joe Public, occasional chance of a £10 to keep the better player happy, but not generous enough to have meant that it's ever become a battleground between pros (compare with, say, DOND or FFQ). We don't talk about it much on here any more, but whoever came up with 1v100 has done a first class job.dmac wrote:what about this then?
on all 4 major cabinets and been on the front screen of t'itbox for best part of a year
I've still never got a £20 though.

Firstly, the claim that it doesn't give less than £2 in "normal" play is probably not 100% true, as I've been left with the £1 boxes and the £10 boxes, assumed I was getting the £10, and got the £1. Still, I've had more £10s than £1s (and still not a £20 despite a lot of play).
It's also been seen on Inde, but whenever I play it on one and qualify, it crashes!
Okish game (in my experience there are certainly more profitable ones out there, but I've also not made a really concerted attempt to learn the spoilers), but a nightmare on slightly misaligned screens.

A: Press above and work down until it detects.

Yeah, fair enough, I think someone else has previously said on here that they've had <£2 prizes; I suspect this is probably something that happens for rather better players than I (i.e. players who can qualify even when the game is dishing out spoilers right left and centre). Who here has had a £20 JP from this? I reckon they could be even rarer than the equivalent on DOND. I must say I think it's shabby advertising a game as a £20JP if it happens, say, 1 in 20,000 goes on average.

I like that 7 out of 100 people don't know the capital of England, but 53 out of 56 do know when Equatorial Guinea made their first stamp

Glad someone else has had this problem - so annoying!! :xcp999 wrote: Okish game (in my experience there are certainly more profitable ones out there, but I've also not made a really concerted attempt to learn the spoilers), but a nightmare on slightly misaligned screens.

i have only recently started playing this.
over lunch i had a go and was down to 1vs7. it asked me a question about french poets which i didn't know so i used a dodge. only i figured i might as well double it up too. but that disabled my dodges and i horlicksed it up. seems counterintuitive to me.
