It's not bad but it has nothing on 54 or 55 as they were on release.rogerthymes wrote:must be soon i would have thought. Looking forward to it - although the state of the current one is the healthiest its been for a long while imho
Well they certainly have been around a long time now. During that time other manufacturers have brought out several updated models while the ITBox has just remained the same. There was nothing at all from them at ATEI so nothing appears to be in pipeline other than running the current hardware until it is clapped out.wires74 wrote:does anyone think that this may be the end of ITBOX ?????????

Come off it lads, enough of the doom and gloom, they have simply stopped numbering downloads.
There is clearly one predominant configuration at present, although quite a few variants do exist, eg the ones with football only bullseye, new blockbusters etc.
I'm sure the cabinets will last ages, how long has the newest one been around now and still looking good? 5 or 6 years? I'll have to check my "infamous" records!!
All the best,

i am an ex LL employee and still keep in contact with my old work mates. last monday any employee who's job was related to the Pub side of the business was put in 90 day consultation. over a 1000 staff will most probably be losing their jobs.
The issue with the company is snce it was taken over by INGG. the guys at the top are very good entreprenuers but have no idea how to run a business. They put all their eggs in a basket called Video AWP and told the industry this is the future. There was no consulation with the Pubco's or players.
The only parts of the business worth anything now is the gaming and leisure side.
I would predict that they will also leave burton on trent and the london office will remain.
There are guys there that know more about the awp industry than anyone i know - all of their concerns were ignored and now the company is struggling.
the guys at the top screwed the business over chasing a bid from the FL Group - a bit which never came and now its backfired because the value has plummetted.
I was lucky - took redundancy and now work in a different industry. TBH i miss the industry and the people but the company was deteriorating with INGG run by people who thought they knew everything but never consulted anyone.

you don’t just jump into bed with Terry Tibbs, you take Terry Tibbs out to lunch, you wine and dine him, you give him an oil massage then he gives you 1950 if you’re lucky!

Blimey!!
Come to think of it i did overhear a gamestec engineer discussing the future with a publican earlier this month. They seemed to be suggesting that gamestec might be taking over wetherspoon quiz sites from leisure link.
I stored it in the recycle bin of the mind!! Seems I may have been wrong.

As soon as I hear anything that has reasonable foundation I will post. But truth be told i am sad at the demise as lots of good genuine people will be losing their jobs and times at the moment are hard in the employment sector. Shame but life will continue and machines will be there so enjoy what we have.

How do the guys at the top keep their jobs?
If this was football they would have been given a vote of confidence by the board, and sacked the next day.
They are the board. Try Alvarez played main part in Boo.com, biggest dot com failure, try Crowley... appeared in Dublin Court regards fraud regards ebon another major collapse. Both are CEO's and are the main board.
Look at LSE under INGG and read the comments by investors.. http://www.lse.co.uk/index.asp.
Definitely worth a read.
