hi all, just had an eachway nudger of a friend buts its not working. he said it just stopped one day and has been stored since. powered it up and nothing happened. checked all the fuses and found the 4 on the psu board blown. changed em all and powered it up. the lights on the mpu lit for a second then went off, fuses blown again replaced again and checked all voltages at the psu, all ok just blows the fuses when connected to the board board loks like new, no battery damage etc :
would be greatfull for any advice, thanks, sooty...
First can you give me the blown fuse positions eg,F1,F2(marked on fuse board) because when you say the four 3amps, the psu is only fitted with one 3amp,The rest are either lower or higher value. It could be that an under value fuse has been fitted.MPS 2 power supplies are also very suspect for failure and blowing fuses,First try disconnecting the psu(unplug all MPU plugs and Triac board) and see if it runs alone,If it's ok then replace the plugs one at a time to see if either works or blows fuse.It may be possible that there is a short in the MPU or Triac board.

both sets of fuses are labeled f3a. theres two by the 12v yellow wires and two by the 5v orange wires. tried it without plugging it in and is ok, if i connect the main power block to the mpu it blows em straight away :
Right so looking at the manual,Removing the fuse cover and from top to bottom with connection plug 1 to the right the row of eight fuses & values should be,

hi again. have checked them behind the removable plate and are all ok. the board in mine has 2 fuses roughly where d1 is and roughly where c11 is. maybe a later modification, dnt no. not sure how to post pics here, is it possible? cheers, sean...
