The Great Pretender (Mark 2)

Post by quizard »

A reworked version of The Great Pretender has now appeared. Just straight questions with no Great Pretender malarkey to win the prize. Six questions on each level without necessarily needing to get them all right. It looks as though it has just been cobbled together from the original code.

It could be okay but not a very interesting game from the punters point of view I wouldn't have thought as it now has no gimmick. And without the endgame it seems to have little connection with the TV show other than Tarrant’s ugly mug.

I haven't seen it but don't hold out much hope - the original was, let's face it, not the most exciting of affairs; I played it only because of the money available.

This game is now available on the Open cabinet - together with Deals on Wheels, Celebrity Millionaire, Scrabble, Spinner Takes It All and probably many others that I fail to remember. Just found one at my (new) local – I think it's going to take me three lunchtimes to play it properly.

Agree about new TGP being dull, but that doesn't mean it's not fairly generous.
