Best Quiz/Game In The World

Or whatever its called. Has some really annoying twat mincing around on it though, found it on a new cabinet which has a triangle style VCR button to play the games? Can't remember its name.

Anyway i thought it was a great little game. A bit pub quizzy/trivia for dummies in the setup. Round one is easy and usually gives you a piss easy bonus for an extra life after. Round 2 gives you a question and two answers. For example...

Are the following Radiohead songs or Manic Street Preacher songs? It then comes up with tracks like 'High & Dry', which you click on Radiohead for a corrcet hit. An easy round really. Others i got were 'Are these football grounds north or south of birmingham', 'Are these TV shows on ITV or BBC' etc.

Round 3 was as far as i got in my 6 goes, and usually asks for 5-6+ answers for a quid. Managed to get there once, but a few spoliers stopped me in my tracks.

Anyone else had a go? I liked it anyway

I think this is actually an old, (and failed), game. It is on Open cabinets, which take and present everything they can - I don't think you will find it anywhere else.

Oh right then. Like i said, i thought it had some clean-up value in it.....no mega bucks, but not bad for a few quid profit. Guess none of you lot will be seeing it then!

Properpro is right - this is an old one which I think did some short-lasted business on FatBoxes a while back but has now re-appeared on the nostalgia-fest Opens. I've always had a soft spot for it (probably because bits of the gameplay remind me of the stand-alone era) but never won anything significant.

The way the Open makes games available and/or hides them again is very mysterious, but it certainly makes it worth playing a few random games to see if your favourite then pops up when you get back to the main menu.

I had a slightly odd thing happen to me on one of those widescreen Ind:E cabinets last night, which if I were paranoid I would think would be a sneaky trick similar to the double Booby Prizes on Take It Or Leave It but I think was probably just standard behaviour, namely that after taking £10 from The X Factor (new style) then playing a few other games, I found The X Factor had simply disappeared from the menu, hence preventing me from taking any more from it! It's odd to see the games choice changing while you are actually playing a machine but maybe this will creep in more and more. It certainly would be a highly effective way of preventing good players from winning too much on one game if it were intentional!

Yep open I cant suss out why it only lets you see certain games and I have forgotten my pin no.

Of course it gives you the option to play similar games next. So today for example a quick game of brainteaser hoping that it would then serve up Wordsoup as a similar game. Bosh, Open cabinet walks straight into NM's trap to reveal WS with £1 at a healthy 620 points

Nils Satis is correct- I quite like it as the pros have more time to travel round sites and the appearance/disapearance of good games will thwart the casual player / semi-pro more.

This has been the case on all games since Indie first appeared, X Factor is not the start of something new.
It is obviously a device to prevent overpaying as it usually only happens after jackpots, but it has always puzzled me that games should be taken off before allowing punters to 'fill them back up'.
Seems to me it's the game makers who are paranoid!!
