Seeing as a lot of industry started on this fair isle i reckon it'll be an old british company. Maybe an old brewery like Greene King?

Nope. The company that registered the trademark was one of Britain's most historic Plcs (forming part of the original FTSE Top 30). Today the company is no longer recognisable having been shamefully allowed to change its name and dispose of the product line to which the trademark relates.
