£5 impuses are annoying, yes, the streaks are big (£30-40+), but it's damn rare you get them!

know of 1 £5 pulsation and the top is more often £5 than anything else, although I have had £20

I would say I preferred Impulses on £25 - especially Wildfire, as the £75 / £100 was a lot more common. If it did do a flat or non-whirly-board next, you could recycle.

The £5 pulsation near me is lovely (there's actually 2, but one of them is not so good, perhaps percentage / location has an effect). As it's in a bowling alley - kids roll pounds through it and piddle about with the odd two quid wins, etc, which if timed right, seem to make the top go big! :)

I've just had a £5 Holy Smoke arrive in my local. The landlady is too tight to pay for a £35 JP Licence. Had a couple of JP's so far off just a few quid each time.

I love bowling alleys, only place i really bother with £5 JPs. All the chavs spanking their money away without a clue how to play them, you can shark like made. And then you have the upside of them all gone by 8.30 because they need to get home in time for bed!

Also when i was there, a family was there and the dad was playing the £35 DOND. He *seemed* to be forcing it as he wasn't collecting anything, but the rest of the family were bugging him to go. I saw that this, coupled with him not really being offered much was making him very irritated. And this is when he had only put about £30 through it. He got the 3 phones a couple of times but never played it, just carried on on the main board. Anyhoo, the kids kept asking for money for the 10p sliding machines so in the end he had a strop and walked after £50 with no win off to the 10p machines. Excellent. I jump on (after a polite period of time, of course) and the reels soon spin in 3 phones on the winline. Dont bother with the main board, straight to DOND, my heart skips a beat when i see that there is a 5 on the number reel, but alas i then remember that it is not a Power 5 machine. I deal at a £10 offer, just as well as £4 was in my box. Next board i take Cash or Bust which gives £20. Nice £25 profit from that machine.

Am I right in believing that £5 machines are capped to 10p a spin now?

Used to be loads of them at 25p/30p in the bowling alley I go to, but now they are all 10p.

I thought this, but my local bowling alley has a BTQ on 10,20 and 30p, also a DOND WOW on 10p and 20p.

I put a quid in the BTQ and was offered 5 red super strikes, took this and got up to 4.40 then it rounded too a fiver, then i was given a slow down repeat, nice and easy 9 quid.

Also has anybody played the 10p a shot reds with megaspins, eats money worse than it's big brother, this place has an OAR, when you eventually get on the board though it's usually at least 4 quid, nearly always a fiver or more, usually about 3 quid a board.

Donds win stoppers, 2p a play, not bad for a quick 10er
