Computer Games are getting too complicated....

I played Halo 3 before (XBox 360) and it was ridiculous..

a) you run over a weapon, and you have to hold one of the back buttons to pick the thing up!

b) you have reload your weapons all the time using a back button aswell

c) you have to use the back trigger button to fire the weapon, fine... but you have to press it in a certain way to fire each weapon properly

and games in general - the menus and options screens are getting more complicated..

Too much to think about, too much effort nowadays to play a game..

My fave games are
Wipeout 2097
Everybodys Golf
Flatout ultimate challenge (thats a hot one)
Quake 3
Doom 3

But to name a few, and guess what! they are all simple games to play!!

Flatout Ultimate Challenge is my favourite X-Box 360 game.. very simple, and good fun! Especially stunt mode when the lads are round :D

Alex the Kid is superb. Didn't you have to play paper/scissors/stone to get past some of the baddies? :D

I rented Halo 3 for a couple of days knowing it was too short a game to spend 40 notes on, I only got two thirds of the way through but it was thoroughly enjoyable. But was it complicated......not really, c'mon mjd they need to utilise the buttons somehow! Try Gears of War, skill reloads and taking cover all the time, or Rainbow Six where you have to order your squad about and play strategically, not too complicated but when the going gets tough.....you know.

If you like FPS's try Call of Duty 4. It may be a tad short but wow, what a game, there is level called 'all ghillied up' which is worth the asking price alone. :D
