industry person required! easier/not easier that is the ?

Post by cool »

please can an industry person help settle a difference of opinion on fmc.
do Itbox/Gamesnet/Paragons have different question databases for the same game. The level of difficulty relates to the initial setting when the game comes out and not to differing questions in my opinion. surely it is logical to assume that the game IS the same on different types of machines so the onus should be on the doubters to prove it rather than just spout unsubstantiated claims. perhaps its true but it certainly isnt for the games that I play!

I am not industry, and I know I've chopped up this quote. But, for example, (without assuming the games that Cool may or may not play), has anybody noted the change in X Factor on the same box it started on?
I suspect we all might miss a lot of the nuances that occur in games. Don't ask questions when we're winning, fret when we're not!

Yes X Factor has changed, and for anybody that's been playing it there is an obvious difference. I'd have preferred it if they'd left it alone - it's easier now. Which is good for punters, but bad for me.
Stupid punters. Telly all the week, screw the wife Saturday

I was wondering how long it would take others to raise the change on TXF. I think it happened overnight on Wednesday and seems to have happened on all regularly updated ItBoxes. When I first played a revised one, I thought of QuizMaster, and accurately predicted he'd be cross, as this will have cut down his advantage over the chasing rank of players. From my perspective, it's much better news. I presume the intention is to give Joe Public more chance of a decent prize although I'm surprised as I never thought that game was *that* difficult to win, say, £2 to £3 on in the first place.

Wondered what height your bar was set at, 'nuff said.

Yep, until the end of last week, the bar was set fairly low on TXF. Not good enough at rote learning all those "is it Billy Joel, Elton John or Cliff Richard?" questions...!
