Heh, cheers all - except the particular one, who know's who he is.

I've no reason to lie - and it was a bloody good day IMHO.

ob - Yep, good results on shat machines! :) There's a few Snakez & Ladderz making an appearance around here, but I'm not going to get too involved in those. ;)

105COCK - Believe what you want - being honest, I've had enough of your shit and I don't usually get annoyed on here (generally, what's the point?) so just take a hike, eh?

The main reason I posted was because digging around the back streets of town, I managed to uncover some older machines (VIU / SR) which are both pretty rare to find nowadays.

I will also mention that I pulled a £99 (?) MS from a Panther for £30 in yesterday - could've ripped it - but it was playing so well I thought the red MS might go for more than the normal one.

Also played a Going Ape, which wasn't playing ball, lost a tenner on that. Is it just me, or is the cash trail longer on this than it is on Cash Attack?

this is quite possible, if the machine is properly red when you get on it, there's no reason why it shouldnt gamble to MS within £20. Saying otherwise shows a poor understanding of machines.

No offence, but you'd probably be way more likely to get a vortex playing in a pub than the ever burnt clacket lane!

They can be odd at times. Had one offering £8s and £10s but not red off no nudge wins go in for £70 off about £30-£40 before. Other times than can go red and do a really crap staggered £70 with not as much profit as expected. Granted i usually just rechase them if they do this, but you expect a good quick return off all red! 8)

It's possible to put anything from £1 to £80 in to see a £70 top. And as some poeple have experienced, unfortunately, sometimes more. Do I really care if you believe me? No, I don't.

I've been surprised a few times by this particular Vortex - have had £70 at least 4 or five times from my first £20-£30 in. Other times it has taken more, but very rarely does it block the SS to MS. Another one I have played however, did block the SS to MS about 8 times before relenting.

What's the most blocks people have had?

I had 13 SS deaths on a vortex last week. Went in for £35/£35/£35 eventually, but by death number 8 or so i was gettign a tad pissed off with it.

Hmmm i've had 4 different Vortex's over the last couple of months & apart from 1 session that took about 7 gambles from SS to MS then I've probably averaged 3 gambles from SS to MS. THe max would probably be 5.

** WARNING THIS POSTING CONTAINS STRONG LANGUAGE FROM THE OUTSET AND SCENES OF VIOLENCE **

I never count the deaths. BUT.

1 death = A rather empty feeling, all that way for nothing.
2 deaths = A hopeful feeling, for third time lucky
3 deaths = A feeling that this will be a profit getting done to %session
4 deaths = Impatience
5 deaths = Impotence
6 deaths = Anger (Korma)
7 deaths = A firm shake of the head and a loud tut. If music is playing in the pub, use a microphone and amplifier to really emphasise the tut, so that everyone else knows the machine is tat. TUT. Anyone got a tic tac? TUT.
8 deaths = Anger (Madras)
9 deaths = A solid kick to the cashbox
10 deaths = An angry stare at the nosey barman
11 deaths = Anger (Vindaloo)
12 deaths = A whack to the glass and an expletive or two. Fucking bollocks is my favourite, but be creative. BANG! "Fucking bollocks!". Works a treat.
13 deaths = Anger (Phaal)
14 deaths = A kick to the cashbox, a loud tut, go red in the face, whack the glass, do another kick, shout "Fucking wanky bollocks poo!" BANG! Then go into a mumbled rant about how the machine, just like FOBT and on line poker is rigged.
15 deaths = Initiate nuclear destruction of planet Earth. How can life be so cruel? How can another human being be so cruel as to program in 15 deaths from SS to MS? There surely cannot be a God if he allows this to happen. If this happens. We all die. Programmers take note. Actually if you are taking note, tell a lie, this happens on 2 deaths, so please, almost always straight to the top, which must be a £140 top. £140 top. Nice.

10 times, so presumably you gave the angry barman a nosey stare before getting the top there then? No wait, the staring barmpot an angry nose? The angry nose some barmy stairs? Or maybe you just don't play the machines like me.
