I read a while back that Liam thinks he sounds like ''fuckin tweety pie'' on there early stuff, i completely disagree, supersonic is superb [as already said] and things like shakermaker, digsy's dinner and live forever a brilliant too, i also rate be here now as a good album with magic pie, girl who wears a dirty shirt, stand by me and all around the world being personal favourites, morning glory is another classic album, wonderwall, cast no shadow, shes electric, champagne supernova are all shit hot. masterplan is really good too with all the B sides, talk tonight, going nowhere, rocking chair, stay young, masterplan, half the world away [royle family] are all really good too.

also like there latest release, lord don't slow me down, took a few listens but really like it now, i could listen too oasis all day...... big fan :D

excellent

imo there/they're only decent song was she's electric, the royle family one is okay too but overall i think they are untalented tossers.
but what do i know?

To be fair (to me), if they were just another band that you hear on the radio from time to time, then I wouldn't really mind them.

Mind you, I'm the last person in the world who should be commenting on other people's musical tastes.

Fantastic, from masouka jazz to ska no brass to thrash. Quality listen. I also rate Oasis. Particularly love The Masterplan video. You can't lose when certain bands are playing. Madness is a guaranteed win, do alright off Oasis, win a few bob off Mr. Bungle. R Kelly and it's lose, lose, lose dead as you like.

Oasis are awesome but unfortunately when you release two of the very best albums ever ( Definately Maybe and Whats the Story) there is only two things you can do as a band, and thats to release a stream of average albums and a greatest hits.

If you get the chance try and watch Oasis Unplugged. Its aired now and again on VH1, its Noel on his own on stage with the Goon in the galleries watching. Makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end.

Sublime.

In my opinion they've only ever released one bad album - Standing On The Shoulders Of Giants. Be Here Now, Heathen Chemistry and Don't Believe The Truth are all top notch if you ask me.

Granted, their new song couldn't be more beatles/60s if they tried, but it's still not a bad tune. 8)

Agreed.

Nothing in the charts today can even come close to their contribution to the music scene in the UK over the last ten years. Manchester had a production line churning out top quality bands in the late 80's and 90's.

I think I'm turning into a "you kids don't know what music is these days" type at the age of 27.

Sadly the man who made Manchester 'Madchester' in the late 80's and 90's, Tony Wilson, recently died.

Final nail in the coffin really, isn't it?
