Quiz machines based on game shows

Post by ROSSKEEN »

Howdy,

Me and the boys were pissed and tried to come up with a list of game shows / tv programmes that have had a quiz machine version made. We got:

Weakest link
Who Wants to Be a Millionaire
Coronation Street
Top of the Pops
1 vs 100
The Crystal Maze (my personal favourite - original trackball version)
Catchphrase
Countdown
Deal or No Deal
Blockbusters
Scrabble (seem to remember an Eamon Holmes tv show)
Cluedo (ITV gameshow early 90's I think)

But there has to be more than that that we've overlooked. Any help?

Not really for any reason other than I wanna know what we missed!!

There was a Trivial Pursuit quiz show. It was awful.

I wonder why they don't do a Blankety Blank quiz machine. It would be piss easy to cheat the punter if they guessed the right answer but didn't want them to win. And even if they do win, the prize would be worth about as much as a Blankety-Blank cheque book and pen.

I seem to remember Tony Slattery presenting?

I think so, it had an "informal" set-up, similar to Win Lose or Draw.

It seemed to feature more "amusing" one-liners from Slattery than actual questions.

I also seem to remember 'chainletters' but I don't think it had anything to do with the tv show.

How could you overlook the self-suggesting title of The Cosmic Orderer's 'Telly Addicts' ... the first TV show-themed quiz game I wonder?
