This is coming along fantastic, and have spent pretty much most of today working on the interface. ;)

There's a bit of a DOND type game as one of the features. Does anyone have any suggestion on the best way to calculate the 'bankers' offer, based on the values in the boxes?

The difference between this and the original DOND, is that you get to play the 'pick yer boxes' game whenever you land on a certain square, and the outcome (either the player deals or gets to the last two boxes - you know the score) is added to a prize fund which can then be won by getting to the end game - which is 'opened' by getting four gold keys.

The values that I have used are:

1p
5p
10p
20p
30p
40p
50p
£1.00
£1.20
£1.50
£2.00
£2.50
£3.00
£3.50
£4.00
£5.00

Is it just some sort of weighted average? I can probably work something out myself, but thought that others input may stop me making it too fair / unfair.

Ooh, and am up to 800 questions now, so still a way to go on that front... ;)

Couple of screenshots coming soon. :)

dude, you need 10,000 questions minimum, catagorised and divided into difficulty.

I know - long way to go yet...! As I said earlier, I've got them categorised by difficulty, but not subject (not needed in this type of game!) and I've got a generator for some mathematical questions.

It's taken me just over a week and a half to get 800 - and I'm not fussed about spending another few months on getting more together. It's actually quite theraputic - and I'm certainly learning a lot of useful (or possibly useless!) info. ;)

The difficult part has been adding three incorrect answers alongside the correct one that are also 'sensible' in most cases. So a lot of reasearch going on too.

Right, back to the grind-stone! ;)

I'd say something like median minus 12.5% or something mate. Obviously on AWPs and the real show it does fluctuate, but if you had say £1 and £50,000 left on a real DOND, that formula would give an offer of £18,750 which is roughly what you'd get. Up to you though! 8)

Mr Picky says "Wouldn't that formula give you £21,875 (give or take a few pence)?". The principle seems sound otherwise.
