I won the £50 jackpot on an old barcrest club machine in 1978.It paid out in old big 50p pieces.Seemed like a fortune then.
It was the local british legion.Went in with my dad.I was over 18,but club gaffer didnt want me to have the cash because I wasnt a member.Gave him a years membership(about a quid!)and he was happy.

Not sure, probably in the region of £80-£100.

Allthough amusingly last week collected the wrong thing on a wheel of wealth... collected one of the crap features instead of the £15 on the cash side, which in the end offered me a £1+repeat, which repeated 14 times, i get the feeling that machine decided i was having £15.

I ain't bulshitting here.
Myself and 3 others popped into a deserted Birchanger Green services tonight for a pee coming back from the Metropolis.
I came out, stuck my customary 20 pound note in an Elvis, first press 4 jukeboxes.
So I picked one £60.The other amounts were 30,100,and 200!
I pressed collect for 78 returned just in time for the others to come out of the bog.
Bugger me,said they ,how did you get all that so quick?
S 16'S .Do your house on them,or do a quick hit.

I was in my bookies, anyway Put £20 in and won £90 then was down to my last £10 and thought number 8 came in last go lets back that one. Lo and behold it came in. £36, then I backed 17 25 34 and 8 25 drops in for about £70 then I thought 8 came in twice maybe 25 will so put extra £1 on it, then it drops in. Decided to put another £1 on it and it came in 3rd time. Thought it will never come in 4th time, but put extra £1 anyway it drops in. Ended up winning £450 in total off £10er

Walked away happy but you always lose on those things they are just so risky

Used to go to the grosvenor in bristol quite alot back in the day.. anyways, I used to lend some cash to one of the local couples that liked to row the fruits. One day, having done her sack in a £1000 "Casino Grand" Maygay fruit, she came up to me and said "I've left a pound in it, done my sack, I'm off before the husband comes". So, I went over, first £10 in, gave me a 4-blue streak for £150. Nice. Played it a bit more, and after about £40 in, 4 bells drop in for £1000. Just as the last bell came in, the husband walked in, looking like thunder, and caught the JP sequence :P
