Frank Sidebottom?
Isaac Newton
you don’t just jump into bed with Terry Tibbs, you take Terry Tibbs out to lunch, you wine and dine him, you give him an oil massage then he gives you 1950 if you’re lucky!

Right this is proving trickier than I thought.l Time for a recap:
Cardinal- Churchill; Di
UP- Brunel; Nelson; Shakespeare
Rob Bob: Darwin; lennon
Safehands: Newton
So that makes UP the current leader and leaves us 2 to find

Right. So unless I'm being a donkey, there's one bird left to find.
It's not Thatcher, QVictoria or the Queen or Flo Nightingale.
So I'll go for...
...
Queen Elizabeth I... and if it's not her, Boadicea.

Tim Martin is the founder and owner of the very succesful chain of pubs, JD Wetherspoons. But how did he come up with the name JD Wetherspoons?

Favourite drink was Jack Daniels and one of his teachers called Mr Weatherspoon said he'd never achieve anything.

The Wetherspoon bit is about right, but according to my sources (i.e wikipedia) the JD comes from JD Hogg out of Dukes of Hazzard.
Also found out that Mr Martin used to go to my school - as did the lead singer of Snow Patrol.
Anyway, enough name-dropping of people I don't even know. Over to you Rob

Could well have done. Gary Lightbody was the year above me, although I don't remember much about him. I don't even him remember being any good at music.
