Red behaviour
Has anyone else noticed reds tightening up in the last week. I've particularly noticed it with invincible have (four of these) which will block the top for an age/never repeat/ and throwing 5,6,7,8's a lot more than normal.
I have also noticed the same on CCP. It seems like red have brought out a nasty new rechip like they did with life's a beach, making them almost impossible to force.
Has anyone else had similar experiences of late?

Always carry a flagon of whiskey in case of snakebite and furthermore always carry a small snake. WC FIELDS (1880-1946)
It's more than likely just coincidental. I hate people blaming a couple of rough experiences on a rechip. They generally only bring out updates with machine errors, not just for the sake of it, and certainly not a chip to give out more mid range numbers (5-9).

LAB
Then how can you explain what happened to LAB? that was re-programmed right at the end of it's life.
I believe that they have been altered in order to give more mid range wins, in the last week I have played 10+ invincible on 50p and the game play is so distinctly different it's easy to notice the change. No repeats/ bigger block for the top/poor mid ranged numbers (aimed at getting people non players to collect)
I hope that I am wrong as I was seeing great results prior to this change, but I don't think I am. I suppose time will tell, would like to hear others views...

I agree with Matt on this one. You can't expect to get big tops out of every red you play. Think everyone has been there at one time or another where everything blocks goes flat................
Fact is reds can sting and can only do the one top then stop (unless you willing to spend big money chasing the big top). Block for ages for top then only go Flat. You have probably just been unlucky, next time you do them the majoirty may streak.

"Its all about the top"
It's a tough one this
Reds can be a pain at times and we have all been done over
Although i have had some great wins from the £35ers they can be very harsh at times
Not repeating, costing loads for the first top when clearly ready
I think we are all that familiar with £25 reds that these £35's can catch you out
Passing £5 on these not always means its there
The 50p Mega Spin wons are the best and worst
Great because they are fast and easy but they throw £7/£10 in when not ready
Not being able to key the new ones also means its harder to tell
If you get one top it could be the end of streak
It's happened to me on a LD
Gone flat on the top and been showing next board and not been there and i got 'done' for £50
I still love them though and they are great for profit
Forcing from the right point usually pays off
Read the board wrong and you will get stung
General advice really

you cant just go for ones that are redding to start... u'll hardly end up playing much at all - I find these 35's VERY VERY rarely are red to start - apart from GADD/CCP which are more often there..
problem MrRed with playing them when they win £5-7 - this is not a sign of whether they are soon ready to red so much as a sign the machine has a bit of "board value" - like after a streak it sometimes gives a toggle for a tenner etc. - imagine it just did £70 the previous day and then it got refilled - going past £5 so you'd go for it and an inevitable £40ish loss! Although to be fair, I'd certainly consider it a reasonable sign if it is winning this - you have to remember it can often be costly to see if this is blocking too!
Lukestar, had so many £70 tops, why would you want to collect £35/25, mayaswell get it all done in one go; its not like the top is overly blocked if redding
