Dr Fox
Dr Fox
A question:
On a couple of boards I've heard people refer to Dr Fox's cashcow and that it was a great money earner.
By this do you mean Pepsi Chart?
And am I really thick because the most I've ever managed is £2??!!
And if anyone cares I can give the location of 2. Both in the same place.

Yes, they do mean the Pepsi Chart Music Quiz. You had to have been playing this when it first came out really for it to become a cash cow, in that it took quite a time to learn enough of the answers for it to be lucrative and this was really only possible financially when most of the games were in paying mode - regular goes of 5 to 6 moves up the chart and the prizes sometimes quite low down the chart. To learn it now when you commonly get one move at a time over and over again would be close to impossible so don't feel too bad about not being able to win much on the game.
Are the two machines you know in/near Edinburgh? If so they are outside my range finder but one or two guys a bit nearer there might be interested.

hi rosskeen,
thanks for the info.
do you know if you need a student card to get in or can you just walk in?
nil is quite right about needing those big moves generally but luckily my mate sci-fi steven(google away for interesting pop trivia about him!)learnt pretty much every question-erm except r'n'b and thus can win pretty much every time.
i think there's 2 machines left in glasgow and that's it.
are there any left in edinburgh that you know of? last time i was there there were still a couple.
oh and thanks for using my moniker as the subject topic!

I wouldnt want to advocate sneaking into Unions or anything.......
But if you go during the day you can walk in fine. After around 7ish bouncers are on and you've no chance. And once they're on they go round and I.D. everyone in there.
Glasgow uni however (where i spent 4 fantastic years).....
The G.U. has no bouncers on until 7ish and they dont check people already in. When I was last in 5 months ago they had a Pepsi Chart machine downstairs.
The Q.M. had one in the games room about 5 months ago also, same rules as GU.
Although I wouldnt know if they're still there.
And if memory serves there's a cluedo / millionaire / maybe pepsi chart also in Arrivals at Edinburgh Airport. Flying from there on Fri so will let you know.
