why when a software company has produced a successful game dont they bring out a new edition with a different set of questions rather then bring out garbage. Do the companies such as Leisure Link insist on new product or is it the fault of the software manufacturers that think that they have to keep up with the competition. Players like familiarity and simplicity not an ever and rapidly changing format.

i think you've hit the nail on the head. dunno why they haven't cloned croc attack or whatever it was called with a slightly more accessible theme. i also don't know why there are no games with wizards but that is probably my problem.

nobody ever wins on those things.

Even worse for me is when a new version of a good/great game comes out which is so much poorer than the original. Three classic examples of this would be Hangman 3, Crazy Golf 2 and Millionaire 2006 - not one of these is remotely as good as the original, although to be fair Hangman 3 is just the same basic gameplay but with a much harder prize structure.cool wrote:why when a software company has produced a successful game dont they bring out a new edition with a different set of questions rather then bring out garbage. Maybe it's the same law of diminishing returns that applies to many film sequels but I can only really think of one new version for a long time which improved on the original, namely Big Match World Cup.
