Woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooosssh!!
I had a most amazing hand on William Hill Poker.
I was tilting slightly and playing £0.5/£1 NL. TH'em.
So all in all I was doing everything wrong. I should have switched off the computer or jumped down to a much lower table.
Anyway I was the cutoff with KQ os playing 9 handed at a ten seat table.
A looseish tricky player in middle postion raises to £5 and a tighter player in late position calls.
I was playing a tournament (multitabling) at the time and was in a critical stage at the tournament, feeling down on my luck and about to call it a night. However I was also quite tired and instead of just folding as intended (the initial raiser was a fairly tricky player) I accidentally clicked raise for a min raise to £9.
Two callers and blast, I'd probably wasted £9 on KQ os.
Flop comes A,K,3. Not brilliant. Probably an ace out there. Initial raiser checks, 2nd checks and tilting I bet out £10, albeit only a feeler bet, I could feel a bluff brewing on my part. I wasn't committed with my £140 stack vs two other stacks that had me covered just about but I was tilting and that accidental raise when I meant to fold had just tipped me. It was coming.
The first guy calls and the 2nd raises to £25. I called and the initial raiser folds and out tipped a 10. It was checked to me and I went all in. ALL IN<>. I just felt this was right. Sledgehammer time.
ALLL IN!!! BOOOOOM!!! BANG!!! BOOOM!!!!! BOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!
ALLLL IN! I was all in. ALL IN. BOOOOOOOOOOOOSCH!!! BOOOSH!!!
WOOOOF!!! BOOOOM!!! KERPOW!!!! KERPIFF!!!! SPLAT!!! SPLOOSH!!! BOOOOSH!! WOOOSH!!! BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!
The timer ticked down. I was almost certain I was beat. This was a pure bluff from the heart. I hoped my opponent had got snagged on AQ, or tried to overplay a high pocket pair, but not AA,KK,TT I hoped for dear life. Lose this and I'd be on ULTRA MEGA TILT.
The timer ticked to the orange. Surely he wouldn't think I was fishy enough to be representing JQ? Surely he'd see my classic min reraise preflop, my trap play on the flop and the big move when I detected strength as a sign I had the monster KK or AA.
I couldn't bear to watch. I minimised the window and went all in with A rag in the tournament. Late stages. Thunder tourney. Big blinds.
I reopened the fateful window, knowing I'd see a message telling me I had insufficient funds at the table.
JOY!! OH BOOM!! OH GLORIOUS BOOOM !! WOOOSH !! BLOOOOP!!
<<Show winning hand<< <<Muck Winning hand>>
He had folded, not only had he folded he had made a 'master' laydown of AK I was later told. Nice set, he congratulated me.
ty gf I said....having chosen to conceal the bluff.
Phew.
A crap play by me.......BUT......you have to love it when a plan comes together.
Crap play or pure genius? Should I have shown my cards to tilt him?
Instincts - All in.
given that you had the loose image from you saying u were tilting it wasnt a great play, had he thought about it a bit more, and noticed u were playing loose beforehand he may well have called - also he could have had the set himself the way he played it, so it was lucky for you he didn't....
its not like the play was really thought over well by yourself, you were just tilty so more inclided to try and steal/bluff alot...
Saying all that, it was a gutsy play, and sometimes if you've got the guts, you get the glory!
