Money Mountain

Post by Mattb »

Hah! Bet you thought this was a Sub Zero thread :P Well, it isn't!

Some clown (ie me) knocked all my coins over this morning. Rather than just put them all back i though i'd make a fruitchat challenge. A grown up version of guess how many sweets are in the jar.

The question is, how many coins are in the money mountain? Mathmagicians in here can probably work it out by seeing how many stacks there are, and that its its a pyramid! I've tried to make it confusing with that tall stack on the top :P

Probably the most pointless thread ever, but i'm bored! Answer revelaed later....

I THINK it is 383 but im slightly thrown by the top stack as some are hard to work out...but thats my guess.

After further scrutinisation of the top stack, I am wishing to change my guess to 382!!!

Yeah i think your right.

25 just seems like a more plausible number to put on the top stack as opposed to 24 or 26.

Well done goes to.....

darcle! 382 was the right answer. Unfortunately the winner can't have the coins as a prize :P Surely the satisfaction of just working it out is reward enough? :D

bravo a nice little mountain there, think the most ive ever had on my person in coins is about 350 as i noted abit as i was scared the pocket in my coat would give way and it looks ridiculous having huge buldges, asking to be jumped :D

8)

I need to get rid of some of those now. There's another 30 odd sat on the side to go with those, i just couldn't make the tower any bigger without the guess being impossible to get! I'd have another 50 odd from the £100 i took from a JP Gems monday night, but i changed £60 up and spent the rest. Happy days at the moment :D

Woohoo, looks like the revisit to the count worked in my favour...theres a first for eveything i suppose!!

I just need to improve my "knowing when to walk" technique and i should start reaping the rewards in no time as ive already started to find the best time to play the machines in my local. The only problem is repeated £25 red megastreaks from the Pink Panther, and unreliabilty of the tops on the manic muncher!!

You'll have to make that money mountain challenge a regular occurrence Mattb?? :D

It could become a regular occurence - If anyone else feels the need to make a money mountain then feel free

That took me like 5-10mins to make that. To make it decent though i'd say you'll need to have 300+ coins kicking about, not sure how many other people on here have that many coins lying about the house. I'm off out on a playing session tomorrow, so if i have another good day and make hopefully another £100, i'll make a mammoth one in a different shape. You've been warned  :P
