Apparently, the lorry was too high for the sign. So when he hit it, the cab kept going but the container couldn't go any further so jammed into the sign.

Either that or the wee Polo smashed into the back of the lorry causing it to end up like that!

Could it be the driver accidentally pressed the "tip" button with stunning timing so that it reached maximum height just as he went under the sign?
