Questions

Post by AlexDonohue »

Alright , new member here, like most on here I like sticking a few bob in the bandit when I'm in the pub, just stumbled across this forum and previously I didn't think there was any skill involved with the fruits, however this may change my mind. Just wondering if people could explain a few things, like forcing, ripping, etc etc. Just wondering if there really is a way to make these machines pay for you, or not.
Thanks for your time

hi mate welcome,

right few things 1st to get you started, there is definalty ways of playing machines to your advantage but that will come with time, and be sure that EVERYONE loses from time to time, you can NEVER predict exaclty what will happen but you can give yourself a head start over the average player...

forcing means taking NOTHING in terms of wins until you achieve the highest win possible be it a jackpot or a streak of somesort, taking wins will "set the machine back" meaning you will prob have to put that amount and maybe more back in to get to the final goal.. sometimes taking wins is the best option if machine is not ready to pay big or you think it will cost more than the end result is worth to get it..again you can never be 100% accurate so its trial and error..there are a load of good players on here alot better than me in addmitance so use the search button and have a scout around and see what you can find, you will find alot that will help you free of charge just reading posts what others have had experiences on

good luck

Ok had a read of that, makes sense. One thing I was thinking was that are there any players who can get money out of a machines in any circumstances, or do all the people who get big wins firstly rely on the machine being full or over percentage to start with?[/list]

You need to keep reading the forums.

Yes, in certain circumstances m/cs can be manipulated to give wins that they shouldn't.

the majority of members on this site are just good at noticing when, like you say, the m/c is full and ready to pay.This is enough of a sign in itself. unfortunatley, as Snelly says, this generally involves a small investment in each m/c, sometimes the investment is just lost pure and simple.However, sometimes it isn't and is used to realistically see how far off paying ou the m/c is. (This is where the experience comes in - we cannot teach you this - only tell you about it)

There is money to be made out of the m/cs. Like most gambles in life though, you will only make what you are prepared to lose.

If i were you I wouldn't get too deep into it.The internet has generated alot of interest which the Manufacturers have capitalised on big style (Section 16 (£500 jackpot)- These are dangerous by the way).

Keep playing your change in the pub and maybe one day that log will turn red and flash for ya! :wink:

Any more generic questions and i will happily answer.I wouldn;t go asking how to win this and that on an m/c though, we dont like questions of that nature, not when we don't know you very well! :)

Ok sorry if it appears that I'm invading some sort of clique here, if you don't mind saying what are your views on places like high street amusment arcades with loads of fruitys in them, good chance to win or better to stick to pubs? Also do you think there is actually anyone out there who is ever up from playing the machines? it doesn't seem possible?

Yes - I live off them! :P

Arcades can be ok, but also can be awfully sharked and monitored. Luckily the one here is ok, but other places heavy on punters are a definitie no. Any coastal town is pretty much usually covered!

Arcades on high streets vary wildly depending on things like:

* Where it is located (town/city etc)
* The average age of the town
* Local wealth
* Foreign population mix

Pop into Agora on Ealing Broadway (west london) and you'll find yourself surrounded by foreigners with no shortage of cash (and no manners) who'll bleed everything dry and sit and wait for the next victim to walk through the door - you can spot arcades like this a mile off.

However there're also many arcades which couldn't be further from that example - and there's money to be made.

Fruit Machines in arcades are also usually set to a different profile: Next time you play one look for the 3 symbols near the coin slot - one is a Pint Glass (indicating Pub Mode), one is a Bandit (indicating Arcade mode), and the other one is usually a Horse symbol (indicating *I think* Casino/LBO mode). The arcade mode is usually there to pay more Jackpots and generally play at a higher percentage, rather than spitting smaller itsy-bitsy wins (which is more typical of Pub mode). This keeps the arcade regulars happier - who are generally regarded as more profitable customers.

The thing with Pub fruities is that although they exactly the same machines, they are played by our old friend, Joe Public. As well as people doing the rounds, like us. So it's important to look at pubs in their true light - how busy are they? do they refill the machines each morning? do people in the local area have much money to spend? are there other people 'doing the rounds', denying you a profit? So many different factors.

So there're pros and cons to both - it's really for you to weigh up and decide whether the next nearest town might be better.
This machine may at times offer a choice where the player has every chance of bankruptcy

Well, Yes, to be blunt you are! <laugh>

However, we don't mind new members its; just that we ask you to respect our ways of conversation in our forum.

to yourself arcades and pubs will offer pretty much exactly the same chance of winning. To us, both are profitable / enjoyable for different reasons.

i.e in an arcade no one is gonna raise an eyebrow if you change a £20 note into coins -do it in a pub and your gonna get comments from the bar.

One of the best tricks and hardest things to master is winning but almost making out as if your aren't if you can see what I mean.

(this may be why you don;t beleive you can make much money from it - because you don't see when people win -because they are good at hiding it)
