well I can honestly say this has never been the case for me, if all the features are red bar 1/2, it must be there 100% if you start low with no nudge win there.... I'm sure that this can't just be a coincidence, as I have played 1000's of them.

ob im sort of agreeing but at the same time i will disagree as ive played many a machine where yes it will show reds with no wins offered and maybe even offer a few of the features but this dosent mean it is ready for the top,

have you never taken a red find the flake on a sub zero and teh best on offer being £4..or taking a a red pick a win and nothing over £3 being offered? i most definatly have and im sure others have too. its more reassureing to be offered a few red features but unless its the ones with only a few definate options such as The Big Freeze should you feel 100% confident that its ready...this is just from my eperience but i do agree with you that showing reds, offering and no wins yes it can be a very good sign

hmm... perhaps on subzero you are right if that was your experience - however they've always been fine for me from showing, albeit sometimes costing £30-50 to get it, which all of them can do!

IMO if they're showing all bar 1/2 you wont go far wrong - put it that way!

Mr Red I have one of these and yeah it's random. Not seen enough signs to play it for a top yet but will let u know - am going to call in and play it 2moro.

As for the Sub Zero debate v interesting... But i must admit i agree more with OB. I had one in my local for 3 months and was fine every time it was over half red.

Not saying necessarily i was always up but a bad time when showing would be maybe £60 in for £50 out but mostly was quite nicely up.

I also agree it can chuck in the odd fake red but if it is showing on more than one board i think you're pretty much good to go for it.

Just got one of these today - it's replaced a Top Dog which has only been there for about 3 weeks - can't work out why thats disappeared so quickly.

Anyway mine is a £35 jp with an extra 7% and double numbers for 50p a spin. And it's a bag of wank!! Kills board after board on the first gamble, or offers one or two successful gambles but not enough nudges for a win. Piss poor IMO.

Possibly...like I said, only IMO. And the £35 may play differently to the £25. I find that shoving £20 through a machine can usually give me an early indication of how it plays - and the indication (SO FAR  ) is that its crap..

Fair enough, but you need to sort something out if it takes you 20 pound to figure that out. On a red it should take one board, barcrests 2!

I presume you mean extra 6% ? I've not seen anymore than that for 50p play.
I've got one of these near me, not had a good showing of red boards to force it yet, but it worries me that on 50p with the added percentage that it might show a few good red boards, purely because of the kicked up percentage rather than actually be ready. Yet to be on the harsh end of this if it happens.

Yep 6%, my mistake.

I would guess it was just short of £20 - was going halves with a mate so wasn't too bad. Was just testing the water with a few boards - I now know that it can go 4 or 5 boards and offer fuck all. I couldnt have worked that out with one board, could i?

Well after one board not showing red swaps and killing on nice numbers low down, I would have ran a mile.
