swp websites/straying off the topic/atei2007

Post by Istenem »

games media (ind:e)'s site is very, very stylish, looks like it has the same designer as that hi spy game.

gwhl (paragon)'s site is average, unupdated and not particularly informative.

the itbox site is laughable. half the links are broken and it is advertising its latest game as donkey derby (with subtracted hee-haw).

surely companies whose product is technological should try a little bit harder with their website.

or have itbox given up caring. i remember their stand at atei was pretty lame last year but quite good the year before.

which leads me to my next question:
are any of you esteemed gentlemen going along? fancy hooking up for a pint after the show and rinsing some local machines?

Hmm, that's not a great week for me actually, so I might have to give it a miss. Pity.

I'll be there. Missed it last year, and there's no way I'm missing it this year!

Had a look at those websites and agree with your view of them. Noticed a bizarre correlation between the websites and the terminals though:

itbox: Shit website, good terminal
Paragon: Functional website, functional terminal
IND:E: Fantastic website, shit terminal

Gamesnet: Coming Soon.........

Seriously, when you try to register it demands you give a company name. Do you just make something up?

i don't have this problem since i will be going in a professional capacity.

just go for whichever company you actually work for and make up a job title which seems suitable.

Really? How interesting. That belies the theory that journalists can't spell, since you obviously have an ability on Crud Up.

Bet your articles are fun. What do you do, see how many times you can get 'quintessentially' into each piece?

all journalists play silly games about getting daft stuff into print but that Q word is banned from my office because, by definition, it doesn't mean anything and i am hugely fussy. and you are quite right that my articles are the best in the world bar none.

anyway.

I hope UP won't mind me saying that he got the corking neologism 'GROINWAGON' into print - I've got proof, too!
