help needed on my note acceptor

Post by egan79 »

hi need a little help i have a warped fruit machine 2006 with eclipse onestop mpu board.the problem is when i turn the machine on it comes up with bnv???? i have entered the bnv code and its come up with key valid.its set up the note on the screen were the bank and credits are and the hopper level as changed from £125 to £250 i have fooled the machine by pressing the hopper top up so it thinks the hopper is full as i thought this might be part of the problem.but all i get is a solid red X led light on the front of the note display the wireing seems all ok as far as i can tell when i turn the machine on it comes up with cc/talk or something like that the note machine is a lumina upgraded to v25 it says on it.could this be broken or just doing something wrong its doing my head in

lumina note acceptors are garbage m8..

can u get it to accept a note on test?
you may have to turn a dil switch on (don't know which one) to enable the note acceptor in real time play...

try this:
reset machine and input bnv key

if it says bnv valid, then switch machine off/on and go into test mode

there will either be a note acceptor test or note acceptor will be tested through "coin in" test.

if you cannot get the note acceptor to work on test, then you will have a faulty note acceptor...

if the note acceptor does work on test, then it is a dil switch setting that is wrong...

if its faulty you will be looking for a new lumina, unless you can change the bracket and loom

what is the bnv code your entering?

is it 123456 or something else?

and what type of coin mech mech does it have?

seriel/ parallel/ c-c talk?

the reason i ask is that switch setting 6 off, 7 on, 8 off is for c-c talk mode.

are you resettiing note acceptor before inputing key?

hi buzzer the key is not 123456 its got its own code and is labeled on the note acceptor theres dil 1to8 on the note acceptor that you have to turn some on then turn machine of to re-set the code then enter the code i also have to turn dil switch 8 on the mpu board as that is the dil that talks to the note acceptor when i turn the machine on after entering the code it come up with c-c talk the coin mech it says sr5i
