Cheltenham 2013 Day 1:
It has long been my view that Hurricane Fly WILL NOT win the Champion Hurdle. This has been backed up by the fact that no bookmaker will shorten their odds on him significantly and several are offering concessions based on him winning (i.e. Paddy Power refunding all bets on the race if he wins!) I give Zarkandar and Rock On Ruby a worthy chance each.
My tips are on the competition page. I have only once in all my betting history failed to get the placepot at this meeting on this day - that was last year where I missed by 1 and made a mistake! However, I won't be trying this year as there are too many short priced favourites likely to at least be in the frame and I don't see enough of them being out of it to make perming it worthwhile. Plus I am practically skint.
It would take a miracle for me to come out of this festival more than £100 up, I strongly fancy Siliviniaco Conti for the Gold Cup but I will probably be thankful I didn't have thousands to lump on with on the day...
