mark labbett

Post by cool »

was looking at his wikipedia entry and two strange things appeared :
(1) 'taught in secondary schools, and worked as a supply teacher in Maths and P.E' What did the P E stand for Pie eating?
(2) He won a quiz called the Jumbo Quiz. No one else would get a look in!

Any other quizzers with interests in conflict?

Yeah. Two games, one at each format. Kevin and Pat are better than any of the chasers though, in pure general knowledge terms. I think Anne has the best knowledge of the chasers but Mark is faster. The other two aren't very good imo (I'd be upset at losing to either of them in a one v one final round scenario, and I was gobsmacked to learn that Shaun had won Mastermind).

eggheads v chasers what a brilliant just like predator v aliens although that wasnt too much of a success! Incidentally there is a new game 'The Chase' out now on test on a games warehouse unit that has been adapted to feature mainly games of chance.

Wasn't he the guy who was allowed to answer football related questions in each round he played in?

Yes, Shaun did something football-related in every round on 'Mastermind'. Slightly controversial and I'm not sure it'd be allowed now. He's not a bad player, but by no means brilliant. cp999 is a little bit dismissive of Paul Sinha - he's at about Anne's strength, and stronger than Mark although not as quick off the mark.
