I'd lump on.
No hesitation.

A not so well known snooker player who is a friend of mine has just got a 2 year ban, dodgy betting patterns, he's the wrong side of 30 and he was only atop 64 player before, he'll have to start from scratch after his ban, if he told me to lump on on him losing 5-0 i'd be dubious to be honest.

You don't trust him obviously? Or else it couldn't fail could it? Like insider trading say

I do trust him, but just look whats happened, his life is in ruins, everyone who bet on him got investigated, for it to be worth while you'd wanna have say 10k on it, and who the fuck would have that on a snooker score?

I think it depends. If the person told me they were going to throw it, I probably wouldn't. But if they said, for example, the other team had a flu epidemic and wouldn't be fit to play, then I definitely would.

If it was a thrown match, i still might. Pretty sure thats not illegal to act on the info (as obv not organising it) and the stakes I'd use would mean there's no way I'd be done. And I hate bookies as much as machine companies, maybe more.
Bored of the grind.

I see what you're saying Lugsy but even spread over 100's of bookies the chances of all those people betting on a 5-0 loss is highly unlikely, or is it? Its a whole load of shit if you get collared either way!
