I have a maygay 1993 pink panther £4 jp and it has a 6.0 error and i dont know anything about fruit machines and i would like to know as much as possible about this one and how to maintain it

Usually, an error code 6.0 relates to a meter fault. Suggest that you check they're all connected properly in the first instance. Given the age of your machine, I', guessing that it's not Epoch, but probably a M1A based machine?

yes it is an m1a and i have checked all the connections that i can see is there anything else how to check which one is faulty and could anyone tell me how to use this machine because it is my first machine and dont know anything

"how to use this machine" is a very big question. Can you be a bit more specific?
With regards to the meters, there's 2 meters to check in the bottom of the cabinet "coins in" and "coins out" and there's also a "refill meter" which you may have overlooked. You can see the usually see the digits of the refill meter through the top glass somewhere ~ normally near the coin mech. If you're able to get the machine into test mode, you should be able to test the meters to confirm the fault lies here.
