Man V food

Post by Scott »

Does anyone watch this? he is basically a regular guy with a serious appetite to quote him, some of the challenges he takes on are just ridulous, them suicide chicken wings he ate hurt him, you could see it in his tear filled eyes, some of the burger and pizza challenges he attemps, well, i just can't see any single human being putting them away, i think this is a really good programme if you aint seen it :)

Yeah watched a few now, Have you seen the 1 that does the Haloween 3 day special ?
All the dishes are spicy as fuck, he tried the pasta from hell that has ghost peppers in it that are 100 times hotter than jalepeno, funny as fuck as his face started sweating and eyes flooding.
Also did a burger challenge, 5 lb burger & over 1 lb of chips, madness

Great programme

Watched him put 3 ft of sausage away earlier and 2 sides (Red cabbage and potato croquettes) not his most filling challenge, still took some doing though.

This is on the Good Food channel (260) on Virgin Media for those who don't know :)

One of my mates has a small bottle of ghost pepper sauce, and since work in a kitchen, he'd always find it amusing to hide it in staff meals at some point... I remember dipping a chip slightly into it, and i got rather hot and teary n burning mouth.. Then a few months later after a few beers, thought I'd man up and proper dunk a chip into the sauce.. Was not fun! :P

10 kind of suishi wraps all getting hotter 1 by 1. do em all in 1 hour and you get Legend status.

He polished em off in record time :P

Yikes ! I can quite happily munch on a habanero (wifes food is traditionally v. spicy), but these Beth Bhut Jolokia are 3x as hot !

No thanks !

I watched the one were he ate the burger with Ghost Chillies on it the other night, they are supposed to be the hottest ever bar none, he really struggled after just one bite, but fair play to him, he polished it off, it was called the Horseman's challenge i think, only the 4th ever person to do so, i've never understood the need for heat, but i suppose you build up a tollerance to it, Madras is as hot as i can go, my mate does a Vindaloo and above, i been known to dip a chip in being brave after a few beers, to hot for my liking!!!!

You do get used to the heat after repeated exposures. The hotter chillis like the scotch bonnet have a delicious fruity flavour to them.

As an additional bonus, the more hotter the chilli, the larger the endorphin rush as the result.

I love all sorts of chillis from super-hot to mild. My balcony is covered in chilli plants.

I like me spice but not too the extreme measures. I do like something that makes me teeth sweat but not something that scalds me arse on the way back out :P

I could probably eat one, although undoubtedly it'd be uncomfortable. The habaneros I have in the fridge are hot enough to just use two in a meal.

And you don't get a ring-of-sting after eating hot chillis. Nobody I know who eats spicy food regularly suffers from this. The only thing you have to be careful of is your hands after handling them. If you go to the toilet or rub your eyes up to a day after cutting them, you'll know about it !!!

This chilli muncher has to be the best of them all though :-
