World Snooker Championship

Post by Scott »

Its just kicked off, 17 days of action for all us snooker fans :D

I've had a bit of a punt, £20 on Ronnie at 8/1, to be fair i don't think he will win it but i just could'nt resist him at that price, and hopefully he will want to win it for the old man.

£10 on Selby at 5/1, always have a bet on the Leicester man and i think it could be his year.

£10 on Shaun Murphy at 16/1, again massive price, i really rate this former champion and he knows what it takes to win it.

anyone else on?

I've had 6 on higgins, 1.50 ew on Allen and trump, and 1 ew on Hendry. Didn't fancy Neil this year, proved right as he pegged out in round one!

I'm betting Williams and Stevens with a view to laying off if they make the semis. Selby is the solid player, though.

saw williams at g casino sheffield other night was playing poker, i took 600000 quid off docherty one night at the poker table hehe, nice guy atually i was about to go home when hendry comes up to us and says best of ten for a mill a frame? i was like oh yeah whatever as im not pro snooker but i fancied my chance on club tables (bigger pockets) hendry went 2-1 up but then I won 6-5 for a mill raise which i used to buy a space rocket and blast off intergalacticly and play some fruits in space. i found an unchipped amazing with 10 in it for a quick 800 raise then i biumped into shergar mr blobby president obama and ash from sheffield doing a fame on pluto so i moved onto the andromeda galazy and made a cool bill as all the mega were on max pots i used this to set up an intergalactic internet poker school and play myself a garan bill raise a minute. some of you reading may think this is way too far fetched and has been edited by jg, but it hasn't jg wouldn't do that he is a good moderator who doesn't edit things. this is the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

Just checked Paddy Power and Rory Mcleod is 40/1 to win against John Higgins. (Higgins is a staggering 1/750 on to win). And it's only 5-2 at the moment.

Although Mcleod looks nothing but an average plodder* - it must be remembered that its a 2 horse race and Higgins doesn't always play his best.

If I was a russian gangster I would be busy laying Higgins, and then getting on the phone...

*average plodder is possibly being generous based upon the way he played this afternoon.

EDIT: And in the time I took to post he had come into 20/1.
