I had a blinding day last month.
First pub was a deadmans - £66 in for £70 but I had to have 2 pints as the landlord was on top so was actually £2 down.
Next pub had a dig it and a P1 donkey kong. Dig it wasn't trail holding. Kong was £8 in £10 out but it iou'd for £1. Now I understand when people say 'he left one in it'.
Onto an arcade I played the dial but got banned after £3 in cos I went higher than an 11.
Onto the next pub that had a lucky leps, someone was on it tho. Seemed to he in fancy dress as he was wearing a superman outfit, I just about made out a line of blobs all the way down the cash trail, wasn't sure what this meant but the mega streak seemed to go on forever!!
Onto the showboats in Houventry, there was some bloke in there crying against a machine that was switched off, looked like it was some kind of Indiana jones type thing. It was only 9.30am but he seemed really pissed off that he couldn't play it. Poor sod then got involved in some project lo-tec!
By this time after a few little dabbles I'm about a tenner down and fast approaching my record day.
Then I saw the pots on rr. Gold £500 silver £267 bronze £134. Right I thought I'm havin those. Loaded £990 in notes, as I wanted to be sure if a feature and also I knew I was out of a grand in total. I got wells for £2 and a board for £15 right near the end, which I knew would kill it stone so had to bail a grand down.
Mmmmmmm......A well deserved lunch next, so I called into a pub for a nice roast. There was a dond gold in their all pots were on £70. Straight to a £ a go and I busted it straight away for the pot. Great I thought just another £940 to go after my roast cost.
Couldn't really think where to go so I got a train to Norwich. I heard there weren't many players round that way. Amazingly everything was dead, I saw a handsome man skilling an electro while eating a punnet of strawberries and seemingly betting with some suit about where he was gonna get to. I took this as a sign that the area was covered and moved on.
Train to Felixstowe. Desperate to recoup my now near £970 loss I headed straight to the £500's.
There was sone bloke and his bird filming a full screen of riches, but the arcade bloke threw him out before he could collect his winnings. Great I thought I'll have that when nobody is looking. Amazingly some bloke with a ruck sack beat me to it but went halves. Fair enough. £710 to recover now.
Went to do battle with my favourite friend the project empire. It was full. Within 30 mins I had the £200 hopper out and an IOU for £99 with a pot on the win line. They paid me out and put another £200 in it. Took my bank and the other £111 they kindly donated to me for a raise of about £350. Poor my standards but didn't wanna risk another IOU. So £360 needed to break even.
Where could I go to?????
Fuck it let's hit the big city. London it was. So many pubs so many playables. Couple of ready electro's made me about £2.50 a terminator was there straight as well for a raise of £40. I'll be back I joked.
Quick stop in burger king, a truly disgusting site tho. Some bloke trying to eat about 8 burgers in one go while being encouraged by his entourage and some bloke filming him while wearing a horses head!! He had sunglasses on to!! Inside!!!
Anyway on to crystal rooms, resident sharks, Wang Ho and Jizz Pang were sitting around so I didn't bother but I saw a set up on the £35 monop so I thought why not. It was full so I pulled up a chair, Wang Ho heard the clutter of the nugget dropping and was on me like a flash but he was to late, some loud hurried talking with his Jizz mate as they watched me play. Les-ing straight away, but sacked it off, ton in for a flash which did a £254, cracking run down plus the bonus board and it was soon empty. Refilled no problem I was just taking the few remaining fivers when LES heads showed. Managed to rip 7 sets which bought another IOU of a fiver, oncexagain refilled to the brim. Made about £370 on it. The 2 sharks nowhere to be seen.
Tried a few more pubs another huge £6 raise on a darts. A good £230 up on busting out any donds I found.
It was getting late I was getting drunk, killed another hour or two on various things. Had coins falling out of every pocket, so I went back to crystal rooms to change them all up, lost god knows how much pottering about but got distracted by a lot shouting the other side. Wang and Jizz were going mental all I could hear was £5 off £5 off amongst some other foreign malarkey!! They'd only taken on my monopoly from earlier!!!! Ouch indeed!!
Attendant bought me a fat wad of notes. £1020 pound in all. So £20 up. Not good enough so I went into the casino and stuck the whole lot on red. It came in black.
Oh well. Walked home ad I'd missed my train.
Not the best day financially, but it was fun.
