I read an article last year that said that subway's contained a rediculous amount of salt. They were found to be far from healthy.
If I remember correctly, they singled out the meatball one that had the equivalent salt of something like 10 packs of ready salted crisps.

The Yates' in Bexleyheath was shut down due to kitchen 'issues'. Thankfully I only ever went in there a handful of times to hit the Legal Tender. :)

i eat a lot of pub food, and only once have i had food poisoning* which kept me off work and on the khazi all day, for what it's worth, that was from the comedy off leicester square. but equally i've had a lot of revolting meals which are just inedible. sam smiths pubs are unutterably bad.
the new yates's club triple is quite good where i am and wetherspoons mixed grill can be okay too. not that i'd want to go to pubs like that for any reason other than hoovering up chavs' money from the SWP. i've eaten at places where they don't brag about their michelin stars and i can't tell much difference in flavour from normal home cooking. presentation and quality is obvious but my palate is not very sophisticated.
but i guess you learn on your own patch over time: where the beer is toxic, where the kitchen has squeakers, where to avoid the bogs, where the psychopath drinks etc. etc. etc.

subway tastes like those sachets of nutrasweet to me so that is off the menu, besides, it is surely the death of the soul to queue up outside one of those places while they pretend to be a deli. BK tends to be my personal option if i don't want to eat in a boozer.

*apart from a special kind of food poisoning on monday mornings
nobody ever wins on those things.

Does anyone know of any pubs in the Nottingham area where pubs serve omelets. Used to have no problem at one time but now can't find them anywhere.

I'm usually on the beer whilst out playing, so usually get the munchies a lot later on in the day. It's aboutt he only time when I can stomach it, but I find a variety of things from Maccy D's helps out for an hour or two, heh-heh. Burger King is far superior, but there's not one around my usual haunt.

Thats exactly what the grub in my local boozer is like, plus he will cater (pardon the pun) for pretty much all tastes as well, if you want poncy little portions of exotic dishes with all manner of weird garnishes and/or sauces poured over it then you can have that, but by the same token, if you want a good old steak and chips, or a roast (on sundays) or a nice hearty shepherds pie or lasagne, all of which are prepared freshly and cooked to perfection then you can have that as well, the head chef also happens to be the owner, well, lease holder should i say, so he's gotta do things properly and its gotta be top notch, unlike if it was hired help running the kitchen, who just turned up and cooked and then went home again and as long as he got his pay packet at the end of the week he doesnt care, he HAS to care, that restaurant pays to keep the place open, and keeps him in a job and in a home!
