I used to and i suppose like many others who had a C64 get the monthly Zzap magazine that used to come with a tape cassette on the front.
On one of these tapes it had both the c64 version and on the other side a synthesised version of the loading tune of Sanxion. I dont have this any more and would love to hear old Rub Hubbards keyboard version again. i have tried on the web but only get someone else's cover version which isn't as good :(

just type kwed 64 into google , the first result should be a site called rko remix kwed

you can listen to everything c64 related .

and even if your browsing using a ps3 (like me) you can click on any track name and simply download to your hard drive.

You simply HAVE to listen to the first (and second, for the introduction of the great bass, which could be a tune in it's own right) 16 bars of Supremacy, by Jeroen Tel. Here's a remix, but the first 32 bars (barring the beatz) are from the original: Direct mp3 Linkage! (Right click and 'Save As'. If you left click on it, it'll start playing straight away and it might raise a few eyebrows if you have you're volume up full pelt and are in the office, or something!)

Excellent stuff! :o

Sure mate, here we are, again, it's a direct link: Clickage! EDIT: Hmm, it's a bit twee that one, but is reasonably faithful to the melody...

Also, go HERE for various other remixes of this tune, there may well be better. :)

;)

maybe we could start a thread for everybody to add to ,,,,,,,,,,, listing our favourite pop culture websites ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, we all must have some useful ones that we use regular , from humorous sites to ,,,,,,, bargain price hunter sites ,,,,,,,, to retro stuff etc ,,,,,,,, + the inevitable free adult content etc . ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

the above kwed one i revealed , its brightened at least 1 persons day.......
so surely its of benefit to us all , if such a thread existed.

problem is ,,,,,,,,,,(and the reason why ive not gone ahead and started it up)

would we be allowed ,,,,,? ,,,,,,,,,,,,, due to it being considered spamming

mods/admin ? ,,,,,,,,,, thoughts ?

the way i see it , if you've not posted much or anything at all it would be seen as spamming.

if you are a regular poster then it's all the fun of the fair........

......no porn links though

Never had a C64. Always went the way of the Sinclair Spectrums. Used to like the Football or Motor Racing games. Also liked the adventures where you had to type in your instructions.

There were some class games back then. Jet Set Willy, Manic Miner, Pud Pud, Chuckie Egg, Lunar Jetman, Match Day, Tranz Am and The Hobbit all spring to mind.

This is the best C64 link in the world as far as I'm concerned -

http://www.6581-8580.com/index.php

Listen to any C64 sound or music from any game. You can play them directly from the site or download as an MP3.

Also Lemon 64 and RKO as already mentioned are also very good.

I used to love my C64 - truly those days were the best 8)

Obviously I loved playing Fruit Machine Simulator by Codemasters. Did anyone ever notice the way the reels span? Reel 1 used to go down one step every game, reel 2 went up 6 and reel 3 down 13 or something. Made it easy to set wins up. Also the Skill Climb feature would never go past a certain point.
