invalid percentage key

i want my £35 jp (eclipse one stop mother board)to be set at 86%.It came with a 78% plug but said it was invalid anyway,so i put my own multi changer key to it,but still says invalid key in test.Did this on another machine mpu5 which i used the dil swithes on motherboard to set percentage cos they too had said invalid key.Dunno about the eclipse?tried taking key out and turning on a couple of dils on lower dil board near bottom but that wasnt it,any ideas?theres 2 banks of dils one above the other on this eclipse

Sound like the socket on the mpu is f**ked if both keys are coming up invalid

Is the socket loose at all?
