I'm surprised you didn't get your kicks from putting an interesting word in as your name. This is another game that's getting in my way. Every pub I went to last week there was some bloody barman playing this.Istenem wrote:perhaps true, but it is a game and a good game at that.
i have had the pot on it (never on the 2x bonus as yet) but got more pleasure from a nine-darter. admittedly both were on easy mode but it gives little league me a chance to mix it with the big boys and the opportunity to use my checkout arithmetic with a reasonable chance of making the shot.
It is skill. Ignore him, he doesn't know what he is talking about. It just gets very difficult/nigh on impossible when it doesn't want you to win.BigEd wrote:In what way is it not skill? Looked like skill to meborgcontact4 wrote:Don't get used to it ...its one for the bin as HMRC have designated a gaming machine game. Skill it is not.
I will have the jackpot of a quid 9/10 on a fresh unit. Although that will be more than £1 probably due to the need to continue at times. Im now at the stage where i can can quite comfortably 9 dart 3 of the 6 rounds from a reset.cool wrote:the question is how much money did you have to put in to achieve the jackpot.presumably taking small wins makes the jackpot unattainable.
The only problem is, its not only players who are at jackpot winning standard on these. And id say it is now by far the most popular game on paragon.
I was en route today playing awps and heard in the background, "The maple leaf is looking brown", Game over now!, could be with the next 3 darts! Youve won, five quid.......
This game sorted me out hugely in Glasgow after doing my left over £200 (thanks to gala casino :x ) in a showing wars when i wasnt in the know. £8 to £100 (in what felt like a week) and therefore a fair float to start me off again.

I've taken to travelling around with a partner since this came out. Normally I hate playing in two's since it doubles expenses, halves profits etc but this kid has an ability with games of a timing nature shall we say.
I'm having to cover twice as much ground as usual since machines do seem to be getting played more lately but that's probably because this game takes so bloody long to play. I suppose that's because it costs a £1 a go. Funny how none us of whinge about paying a £1 a go when you can win. Don't think I've heard it mentioned on here yet.
Anyway, suffice to say, my young friend is more than covering his end. And I can play.

Stupid punters. Telly all the week, screw the wife Saturday
The danger with with having a partner just to do the skill is he may eventually learn enough of the questions and answers to do it all on his own.
I remember a player back in the olden days who used to employ a driver who eventually learned enough of the answers and started doing the same machines himself LOL. After that future drivers were made to sit in the car.

I know the guy who had the driver who became better than him. They were Treble Top players.
There are no questions in the darts game. I just take this kid along because he can do it and I can't. I play my own game which is a banker, since it doesn't matter to me who's played it and/or won before.
As long as this kid can keep up his end of the bargain, he can come along for the ride.
