Adams Family Barcrest £25 jackpot ... fault ... Help

Post by cammie1000 »

Hi all new to this forum hope you can help me.

When i turn on my Adams Family machine and i press the start button it automaticly goes to £12.50 in free credits then when these are used it goes back to £12.50 in free credits

Anyone know if i have hit a sensor some where inside by mistake or what is wrong with it?

Many thanks Cammie :)

your machine is in test, one of the doors ,either cashbox or rear is either loose or the white switches are faulty or removed from their mounts stopping them from engaging when doors are pushed against them.

i had the same same thing happen on an addams family a few years ago .
being a skanky coot as i am ,i built up a 20 quid bank and called an attendant to witness the payout  he said it was in test and i said i don't give a (it still takes money in test)

he paid  and iirc he paid again a few months later :P

I must confess to trying a similar routine, but i was not as fortunate in getting weighed in :(

Anyway, what he said, much better put.

check they are mounted properly so that they will be pressed when the door is closed.

if so then the reels should spin while the machine resets.

if this is not happening push them in manually to see if the machine resets .

if still no joy you could give a bit of diy a go and short the wires on the switches together to see if the machine resets. if so you are able to play as normal ,basically you don't really need to get new switches unless you wanna play in test.

if still no joy try ebay or one of our reputable parts dealers such as aaamusements.

actually cammie these switches should pull out a position aswell as push in on a spring . if you pull them both out you can play the machine normally without the doors on .you can even remove them from the mounts and let them hang on the wires, put the doors back on and punt away.
