percentage payouts should be ignored, the £4000 fruities in the casinos have a 97% payout but if somebody drops £4000 what sort of input without payout do you need to get the percentage back(Im not a mathmetician or a spelling maestro).

I think QuizMaster is being too kind.

Even if we accept your claim that Big Reds has a higher payout than other SWPs - let's say 50% - that still means that it keeps 50p for every pound it takes. As there is no virtually no skill involved (apart from the trivial one of getting the three qualifying questions), that means that you are still losing 50p in every pound you put in - as you say yourself you've played the game 'thousands of times' to be able to win the tenner 'loads', which I am sure is a much smaller number than 'thousands'. Besides, as QM points out, the actual payout level of the game is skewed by the fact that you can't collect individual minor prizes.

By all means play the game if you enjoy it but please don't confuse it with anything worthwhile.
Yes to be fair I don't play it for profit, just for a laugh, and to be fair at least you get some cash every go on it! I suppose the issue is the game is very quickly over with, so doesn't provide much entertainment just a random gamble. Given that game is random then if you add all the boxes and do the maths I'm sure the percentage is way over 50% also, more 70-80%.

The Dond game seems fair, wheras on the no questions skill version it clearly isn't, having never seen over £6 being offered, yet having got the games hundreds of times.

The only other games I ever win on are bullseye, cops and robbers, hex maniac (now its on £1, I never won on the 50p version really) and ceasars palace....

Compared to a lot of other shocking games, big reds at least pays out some cash to normal punters, unlike some other games which RARELY even give £1!

I think you have to look at it from a non-quiz pro/non-quiz expert point of view to understand why I think big reds is a fair game!
