sorry ive been away

Post by trayhop123 »

if you haven't missed me , or simply dont like me,,,,,,,, turn the page and move on , nobody's forcing you to read my drivel . ,,,,,,, for the rest of you read on , but be warned its bound to get very boring and a little self indulging from the off.

now im usually a very avid poster , so to not post for 18 days needs some explanation (cue witty replies of "who gives a shit?" )

well first of all i crashed my car , ,,,,,, i was slotting in warwick , and a bloke in a parked white van , opened his drivers side door into my passing car , it took out my passenger side headlight ,all the bodywork surrounding it , bonnet wing mirror etc , a complete mess , ,,,,, his fucking door on his £50 van was barely scratched , bloody typical . anyhow twas lucky there were witnesses etc , and no one was hurt (or so i thought) , ,,,, driving my barely driveable wreck home , i began to develop a pain in my back and neck , and had to phone an ambulance as it gradually became unbearable , ,,,,,,,, whiplash ,,,,,,, so was in the hospital for one night , given painkillers etc and sent home for rest etc ,,,,

now almost every unscrupulous bastard i know has told me to milk the situation for all its worth , (he has accepted full liability , well he had no choice , its his fault in the eyes of the law also).

but the truth is , im a little apprehensive about it , because it could have happened to anyone , he didn't do it maliciously and he couldn't have been more apologetic . but l did suffer , and although im not in any real pain now , i stil get the odd twinge. but like everyone else has pointed out to me , it wont come directly out of his pocket , and his premium will now go up regardless , so perhaps i shouldn't feel to guilty ,,,,,,, so anyhow ive filled in all the necessary personal injury forms , and what will be will be , ( does anyone want to take a guess as to what i may get??? anyone with any similar experience ?)

anyhow a few days rest later , i did what anyone would do a few days after a car crash,,,,,,, thats right ,,,,,,,, i fucked off for two weeks sun in bulgaria . a resort called sunny beach, twas a strange place , the clothes food etc are dirt cheep , and for those of you that drink , their beer is 50p a pint (imports like bud though will cost you 4quid a bottle ) but because it's such a poor country you could always sense an uneasy blanket over the desperation , in other words you could sense that if you were to wonder off from the resort alone at night , there would be more than a fair chance you would get mugged .

see told you this post would get pointless and boring .

anyhow i truly managed to switch off from the world of slotting for 3 weeks refreshment , but back to the battlefront now, and back to regular posting ,

now its time for the witty responses , from you fuckers,,,,

oooooh im guessing along the lines of ,,,,, "we didn't realise you'd gone etc " and who cares etc yadda yadda yadda .

Someone hit my missus in the rush hour doing about five MPH.The woman behind didn't even slow down. The whiplash she had came and went for nearly a year. After nearly two years mitigation she accepted about £4.5k.

I got £3750 for whiplash 4 years ago - had to go to a few physio sessions though. The wife got £3000 cos she didn`t need physio. Not bad for a wee bump whilst passengers in a taxi.
Milk it - it could take up to a year to get the payout though!

it is a 2.5k standard payout, but with extra medical charges/time off work, this inflates it.
depending on your circumstances, guile,or stubboness you may get more, or you could just take the 2.5 and bugger off abroard again paperwork freeeeeeeeee . . .

I got 2.5k about 6 years back, dozy old fella behind me didnt even see that the traffic had all stopped fairly suddenly in a queue for the roundabout, so no chance of him even thinking about braking, by the time he realised he was already planted the front of his punto into the rear of my booted nova.

He hit me doing a good 40 mph, and my booted nova now looked more like a hatchback, all the middle of the rear panel and boot was pushed inwards and upwards, the spare wheel was wedged into place as everything had bent around it, chassis rails were bent and twisted, floor was creased, etc.

I saw him coming and began to mount the kerb in an attempt to get out of the way, which lessened the blow a bit as i was moving slightly, plus it was the corner of his car that hit the middle of my boot, as it would have been a dead square hit otherwise, which would have been a harder impact, but in hindsight a dead square hit would have probably been better for me as seatbelts tend to hold you better in a straight impact.

Being hit at that angle felt a fair bit worse i can tell you, as my car ended up spun around half on the pavement due to the angle and speed he went into it at and i honestly believed that my head was going to come off!

So i exchanged insurance details and such, plus a few witnesses had stopped and gave me their details to pass on what they saw if it was needed, although he admitted liability anyway.

The guy was well in his 70's bless him, he was very apologetic and embarrassed that he dad stacked it lol and his wife shouting at him for crashing was also a little comical, ill never forget what she said....

"Henry, i TOLD you to be careful, WHY werent you paying attention!?!?!?, (then to me) im so sorry young man, are you OK?"

I sat on the grass and munched on a pack of sarnies i had got left, drunk a can of coke and had a fag or 3 while waiting for the old bill, who never turned up might i add, and i felt fine at the time.

Once it was clear that the old bill werent interested another bloke who had stopped managed to drag his mangled and partially collapsed punto off the road with his van while they waited for a recovery truck, and as for me, fuck it, i drove it home, it felt a bit unstable as the floor was bent and stuff, but i got it home!

So i rung the manager from work at his house and explained what had happened and that i was going to be off the next day to have a checkup at the doctors (was i fuck, i just wanted a day off lol) so i had a shower, some proper grub and toddled off to the pub for the evening with my mates.

But the next morning, FUCK ME!! the pain, i had never felt anything like it, i couldnt turn my head hardly at all as i was so stiff and my neck hurt like hell where it goes down to your shoulder on both sides.

Severe whiplash was the diagnosis, 2 weeks signed off of work, a dose of painkillers and muscle relaxants, plus meetings with various doctors and physio sessions for months after that that also required time off work, so the 2.5k was fairly awarded IMO.

My neck still plays up now and again even now and it is quite weak still, i cant read a book or anything for any length of time as it really starts to ache, plus if i tilt my head right back then i can't put it back down normally, my neck judders a bit, although banger racing in more recent years probably hasnt helped it!

Go for the compo mate, i did, and it helped tide me over for the time i was off work (statutory sick pay is shite) plus i saved some of it back for a rainy day.

I dont rate rainy days though, so it was spent on many mad euphoric lager/sambucca/aftershock fuelled weekends in niteclubs and at raves starting on friday night staying up getting more and more wrecked smoking loads of fags and drinking rebulls to keep me going in between and finally crashing out on sunday evening fucked and sleeping until monday lunchtime kind of weekends instead!

I got 2k so did 3 mates. A council van hit us at 2 mile an hour so we all got whiplash from it.Funniest thing was we had pulled onto pavement to sort it out when the nosy bird comes up"I didnt know this was a car park?"meaning the pavement,to which my mate replied to by saying"I didnt know it was a farm! Now fuck off you pig!"Quality! That'll teach her to get involved next time.

Get what you can off the insurance company mate, they'll try and screw you on all your claims and you've done nothing wrong in getting injured, so you deserve it. The least you should get is some recompense for your pain and a free holiday.

I've been in agony due to whiplash this year too, I hit a deer which ran out in front of me so I couldn't claim anything annoyingly tho...

As for the tatt, is it something fruit related???
