Cash attack - mess up

Post by Alpine021 »

OK it's been about a year and a half since i've missed but missed revolver which i got off a tenner and it hit £16.

Excuse- mad saturday night - drink - drugs - women - anything I can blame it on!

but then went back an hour later and got a £35 MS off about £5 or £6 then keyed it just before I went (watched the footy in there) and it was full. Got

Got a quick board and got reel roulette for £20 (surprising) and left it.

about £50ish up and should be ready tomorrow. Not bad for a messed up Revolver.

Yeah you know that, last time I went to Liquid in Maidstone I was properly mashed, decided in my infinite wisdom to take on the Lucky Devil without any coins and just notes, well obv the notey didn't work and I was £40 in from change from the bar before I realised this...mayhem then developed as I started buying rounds of drinks just to get change lol, ended up doing about £140 for £105 :o ops:

Then luckily I found a dial and an On a Roll downstairs, made like £70 on the Noel and £50 on the OAR, ended up having a free night out

Erm not totally sure what you mean but it was my friends birthday, paid for my seat on the minibus and a good few rounds of drinks for me and my mates off the winnings, hardly ever play fruits when out but I was so mashed I just thought fck it.

Blurrrrrrgh!!! UUUrrrgrggrgggh!!! YUK!!!

All the bad weather and I end up somewhere different. I remembered a whizzy and a warped, now a Star Wars and a Cash Attack.

Now I've heard some chatter about the latest chip Cash Attacks blah and to be honest I'd stopped playing them ages and ages and ages ago. Yeah, what is commonly referred to as p2+associated variants are ok, fine in a fresh pub, but not so good when practically every player knew what they where doing.

I walked in expecting Noel and an alien and got drawn in by the big red diamond board. Decided to stay.

CA was being played and full, SW wasn't but was full. Playing nice, £23 in for SW which pays flat £35, £2 later £8 off super hi/lo. Decide to leave rather than rechase with a cute £18 up.
About to sup up and shoot out when the guy comes off CA.
It'd be rude not to, so long since I've actually played one of these.

On 30p, leave it on 30p, can't remember where dual stakage becomes irrelevant, but I thought leave it on 30p just to be safe.
£4 to bring on the trumpets. BRING ON THE TRUMPETS. 1234 on the wotsit. Before I know it the Awooga klaxon is awooga TRUMPETS. No shut up about the trumpets now. HA HA HA HA TRUMPETS. Seriously. SERIOUS. Ok, good, I was saying. YOU WERE SAYING.

Hold on, let's move over here.

TRUMPETS! (much fainter in distance)

Just ignore him, he's an idiot.

Anyway I heard HERD OF ELEPHANTS.

Fuck's sake. Hold on a tick. If I just TRUMPETS stay silent he'll go away and bother someone else.

TRUMPETS!!! HA HA HA!!! (retreats out of the posting)

So to recap, £4 in and it's golden game time. It's full, it feels buzzy, you're having a peek for revolver ain'tcha? I know it can be a bitch on 30p, but you're looking at a profit here, surely? Surely?

Right the first danger signal I noted was the sound as the reels dropped. I'm sure it had changed, it was more 'boingy' and less 'Kkkkky'. Me being paranoid. Smallish local supplier, not usually too hot on the latest chips.

Here we go. This is the wtf?!? Now we all know on the p2s you can get a duff rub of luck on the trumpets and you can get a dead one. YOu know three for the pink and starts off 2nud for naff all, hoping for Les Dennis and back in the same shit set up.

However after within the first £15 being offerred a few £10s, £15s, £20s, the latter only obtained on guaranteed gambles,1,12, no lose etc
It soon became apparent revolverypoos would be blocked like a bitch. Corners weren't so pleasant either.

£15-£50 in and it was back to looking stone cold dead. £55in and it starts to select a bit looser and finally £70 over and it relents for an Extra life which gambles to revolver, playon for mega, get it for......£40!

So I play on, as value left obviously. Nooooo, well yeah probably value, but considering how it was playing off the bat, super flat trumpets, yeah maybe some +3 hi/los to start but it ha sit so sussed, as soon as you get the cluster of trumpets on middle green and orange, oh God 2 squeaks EVERY time. Super blocked. COB dishing out LOSE as liberally as a duck's arse with a micralax(TM) enema stuck up it, shitting out duck shit.
Plus how about some juicy KOs, feck that, 4 ko, WOOOOP! Look up there! WOW! Oh it's £4. Treaded through the same procedure and it became obvious I was against the same sort of tricks that would make Slammer throw chairs around.

I remember playing a D 'n P at Exeter services. It was full and the gamble went to loco, I took my tenner and wasn't too disgruntled when it wasn't going up. However £60 later (this was my first expereience of a rechip iirc) and having taken NO wins, I was disgruntled to say the least that I should still be getting fobbed off to CL and don't say the CL was keeping it to % - it wasn't! In the end it'd go up when the board was so happy you could hi/lo there anyway.

This is what the latest chip CA is all about. SAME OLD BARCREST DIRTY TRICKS. Think D'nP gambles. Yeah played the chipped one in London Central, bloofed in a pot. I think basically if some munter cycles a K through it, it'll let the gamble go up once or twice old skool style, happy days and then lock it down like a bitch. Ditto latest chip CA. Really it'll only afford gold when it's corner unblocked (at times) anyway. It is capable of throwing in the golds way before, but ffs, take your £10,£15,£20,£30 whatever and leave those 2s and 11s alone as it ain't necessarily coming back.
The analogy with D'nP continues as HOW THE F*CK DO YOU GET VALUE from a game that takes about £4 a board to give you a £4 board if you're lucky. CA is a bit more lumpy than that but similar principles. The way it's playing it should be so rippable, but that value is unobtainable.
How do you get it? wait until it gifts you an early revolver? Get a stray cob?!? Latter seems unlikely, so often=Lose. Wait until a looser trumpet for £10/£15 etc

Horrible game, maybe only way to get % is to keep collecting £3!
