sorry to post after NM's question which is something i'd like to know too.
but... being a fickle sort of chap, i've changed my mind on the new itbox games. ronnie is basically a quiz game with a wholly pointless endorsement. family guy is annoying on every level. (even the pictures of unfunny cartoons are annoying.) and another waste of money for the licence. cardquiz is daft, ugly and takes too long to win nothing and they all ask questions which are monumentally uninteresting.
as for super braindrain. this game asks for 50p so it can take the piss out of you; this is a game for bored people or backward children. much like sudoku. anyone can do it if they can be bothered.
can you tell which number is bigger? "yes." can you do it quickly? "not very." can you spot a green shape next to a red shape? "yes." do you want to be treated like a cretin? "ooh yes please." okay but it will cost you fifty pee. "that seems very fair, after all i am the world's biggest loser."
maybe ronnie has some potential down the line but when you see MOTD and T&F on the next paragon release it is obvious which have replayability.

There are some highlights here in this issue for longer term players.
They're not something you'll see after a cursory glance over the sweetshop counter though so I fully expect more of the 'please Quizmaster tell us how you did it' requests in a few months.
Can't reveal Puzzler. Professional ethics and all that guff. Soz.

Not sure if anyone's still playing Rocket Money (I'm not, by and large!) but I managed to take advantage of a kind set of questions to make my way to a 106 break today. Has anyone bettered that or seen it bettered on a scoreboard? I only got £3 mind you. Played the £1 game next and scored a 79 for £4, so the box was obviously, to use the parlance, "raving".grecian wrote:I think I got a £1 on the brain training thing on my first play on it today, although maybe I got lucky.
Good work on the 77 break on Rocket Ronnie, ggdr. I suspect I may have been over-ambitious in going for the black consistently, as I only got to about 35 or so if memory serves.
