This Can't be Right Can It?

Post by HornyNick »

Taken from "Quiz Machine" on Wiki:

Leading multigame terminals and their manufacturers at present are:

itbox made by Maygay Ltd and used exclusively by Leisure Link
Paragon made by Games Warehouse
FatBox Slim made by Fat Spanner
Ind:e and Indego made by GamesMedia/Channel1
Gamesnet made by GamesTec

Itbox are made by Maygay?

Surely not?

Should read:
itbox machines were made by Maygay Ltd and were sold to Inspired Gamming, who managed the machines exclusively for Leisure Link.

MAYGAY was owned by Leisure Link, as was Inspired Gamming. Basically Leisure Link moved money inside itself to generate internal profits. Then ... blah... blah... blah...

Then Inspired Gamming Group managed to sell/dump Leisure Link to Gamestech....

blah... blah... blah...

and so on

Ok, but the Maygay name is now owned by Barcrest Group, who in turn, are owned by IGT (last I heard anyway) so do they have some sort of stake in itboxes now?
And for that matter, did LL sell the Itbox part of the business as to GT as well?

Barcrest bought the MAYGAY, Impulse, and Extreme Brands, but not the manufacturing bit.

Insipred Gamming Group sold all their boxes, and Pub operations to Leisure Link, but kept the game/download bit. A bit like you buying a load of second hand televisions, but only able to recieve broadcasts of 'dimoneque week' on QVC.
