What is fake about him ?
Surely all performers in that business are "fakes" if we are to assume there is no such thing as real magic
What he does are illusions and he is highly skilled at it and very entertaining.
If you belive there is real magic and he is fake as your post suggests then surely it is you that is the numpty and believes in the tooth fairy

Yeah, what do you mean by fake?

He demonstrates and effectively debunks cold reading 'psychic' techniques.

You say fake as if there's an opposite :? : :? :

Derren Brown is very good, some of the things he does are so clever even with your tricks it still takes a good memory fro him to pull things off.
I've been to see David copperfield and he was out of this world, it's 1 thing watching them on telly but when you see things right in front of your eyes it makes your head fall off :D
When we sat down the usher said to me n the wife "Oo you got good seats"
What she refered to was the final illusion 1 minute he was locked up in a "grease lightning car" suspended in the air on stage the next he was stood on the table right next to us halfway up the theatre!! Me head was in bits

It's not really an "investment" within the definition of that word to be honest...
Mind you it's probably as good as anything else to put your money into at the moment.

(The value of your ticket may go down as well as up. AAAMUSEMENTS is NOT regulated by the FSA, thank fuck. You may lose your boiled sweets on the floor of the auditorium, and the tallest man in the world will always sit in front of you.)

And to be fair, he does say at the start of every show that he is "at it".

And his 25 pound tickets for the next show are now selling for around 50, so I'd say it's a pretty good investment!

I used to like him until I was informed by the voices in my head that he is part of the New World Order.

Or he used to be in New Order, tbh the voices need to speak up a bit.
