Cheers Big Yin.

I can go back to bed now.

In other news, isn't Word Wobble a load of pish? I especially like the way they move the goalposts if they think you might be any good at the game.

It's on issue 62 itboxes and some GamesNets. Far from the most inspiring game in the world, even if clearing the grid occasionally boosts you past the next prize.

I'm yet to understand how the scoring works. It's quite like text tiles in some respects.

Still, it's the next word up in comparison to the other new game on Issue 62. Some sort of Raid the Bank Vault type effort. It actually seemed quite good until it forced me to play a spot the difference game where the pictures HAVE NO FECKING DIFFERENCE.

Grrrrrrr.

I've not really thought about the scoring whilst playing, but I think top level (yellow) tile scores are x1, next level (pink) x2, and bottom level (red) x3. 200 pt bonus for clearing. I suspect it just adds each individual letter score together, but I'll make a point of checking should I be unfortunate enough to play one of these today. And yes, it did remind me of Text Tiles

Ok, the scoring doesn't work quite as I thought. The first few letters of each level score as marked, but after you've removed 20 letters from a level, tiles of that level only get multiplied in value. Yellow x2, pink x3 and red x4. When you clear the grid (200 pt bonus), the multipliers get reset which is a bit stingy. I'm not terribly impressed, mildly diverting for the first few games and free pennies but nothing more.

All that makes clear is that you've never been very good at Word Blox.

Come on, make your mind up...

but you're right. i don't know why i was so shit at it. Heh.
Do let the forum know if you ever crack the 10k "barrier" (sic). And come to think of it, 1000 pts isn't THAT hard on word wobble either. You're right about one thing though (can't be bothered digging through your posts to find it). Pros shouldn't post on here.

had a go yesterday. basically i'd echo what has already been said about WW. i like the shimmering graphic of the next button and it appeared to have some pleasing sounds but couldn't really hear well.
the game itself is what it is. be quick, score +2 for wealth but -1 for edification. seems pretty difficult to build anything very much more than 7 or 8 letters but so long as you can whack out constant threes you are going to win.

on that bank vault game; it is curiously moreish at first glance, i enjoy silly subgames. but isn't it lazy that the tubby fella with the teeth and the acne has given up on downing draught coffee and is now off robbing banks? i can't see any obvious link.

neither of them will make a top ten of SWP games but at least there is some production value and a nod towards playability.

I really like the prize behaviour on Word Wobble.

The game seems popular, judging by the scoreboards that I've seen.

I'll vouch for that too. 2 out of 3 today had full scoreboards.

Haven't managed a clear yet. Therefore scoring about 700 is the limit.

Can't see this one holding anyone's attention for long.

well, i'm done with this game.
it doesn't offer a challenge or any decent prize. quite pretty but i'd prefer to come into pans of soup.
