harry i dont want to turn this into comic geekdom for the rest of the members so after this post , ill confine any more thoughts to pm with you ,,,,,,,,, and im sure the rest of the group on here cant wait to call us a cpl of nerds , and comments like ''get a room homo's '' are sure to follow ,,,,,,,,,

anyhow , i was born in 1972 (36) and was a troublesome handful at school and at age 6-7 still couldn't read anything , nothing , nada , zilch, ,,,,, my parents were at there wits end , i was unruly , uninterested and hyperactive to say the least ,

then it happened , my dad took me to the cinema to see superman the movie , and from then on everything changed , i was captivated , enthralled . it was like a drug and i needed more , so soon after my dad brought home the comics , well the pictures could only tell me so much ,,,,,, i needed to learn to read , finally i had reason to learn.

that had such a profound effect on my life , that it hasn't left me to this day, and although i realise that i can never be superman ( im not mental lol) ive realised that the comics have been as much a contribution to my upbringing as my parents , school education , media , mtv etc , to the person i am today , ,

they have tought me good honest values , tought me right from wrong , good from evil etc, ive never smoked , drank or taken drugs etc , never been in trouble with the police etc etc (well apart from the odd legal slotting empty/incident lol) ,,,,,,, so call me a nerd , i dont care , i know im a decent person who's never fucked anyone over ever.

anyhow regarding supes age ,,,,,,,,,,,,, well i guess it depends on which of the particular strains you buy into, personally im of the 80's silver/golden age comics years ,,,,,,,, cant be doing with any of the others ,,,,,,,,

loved the chris reeve films ( the one true superman , and there will never be another ) , liked superman returns , though not a patch on the above , but time will tell with the subsequent impending sequels,,,,

smallville and new adventures of lois n clark ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, are just dump.

anyhow sorry for rattling on ,,,,,,,,,, let the insults and pisstakes commence :P

Why insult or take the piss out of a good, honest member of society and why would that make you a nerd? Name me one person on here who doesn't like any Superhero or comic book adaption movies, you probably couldn't.

One thing I will say is, it must take Tracey a hell of a long time to polish your halo.
